I do.. It appears you dont

Evidence... Anything which supports an assertion

An opinion from someone well informed can be regarded as evidence

It seems to me there's a wealth of opinion but not one example. Kate McCann began spreading the idea that the PJ's methods were lacking, but despite sharing her opinions she never gave any examples. I can only assume she had none.

The case law of the ECHR suggests that the Portuguese method is acceptable and probably better than in some other European countries. The ECHR, if appealed to, would need evidence of inadequate interpretations also, not opinions.

No it doesn't... This is all simply about having an Interpreter present during interview and understanding the charges against... Nothing about being ask to sign a statement you don't understand...

I am quite shocked by your current attitude.  There was a time when it was possible to have a conversation with you.  But this no longer applies.  And i am sad about that.

I can understand why a couple who contradicted each other in their statements might try to cast doubt on the statement taking process in Portugal. I can't understand why they gave no specific examples of how the process misrepresented what they said. Well I can; they have none.

I think some people need to accept that without solid evidence the claims of mistakes and misunderstandings are nothing more than rumours and could be seen as propaganda aimed at discrediting the Portuguese legal system. .

I think one has to take a care in relation to loose accusation of disseminating propaganda when a long denied method used by the representatives of the Portuguese Legal System in 2007 was precisely that, in my opinion.  Public opinion was tweaked, massaged and manipulated as the Policia Judiciaria broke the law pertaining to an active police investigation by actively leaking to the press.

There should have been as much information emanating from the investigation in 2007 as there is from the current investigation ... and that is nil ... but in fact the 2007 leaks from the investigation came right from the top as confirmed by journalist Sandra Felgueiras in the Netflix documentary whose source was Goncalo Amaral, the case co-ordinator.  https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/news/article.cfm?c_id=2&objectid=12214153

Question 1: What was the evidential basis for each of the stories you wrote in relation to the McCanns, identifying (in each case) precisely the information on which you based each of them?

4: It became apparent in the days after arriving in Praia da Luz that covering the, disappearance of Madeleine McCann was going to be uniquely challenging, Under Portugal’s secrecy of justice laws it is illegal for anyone to publicly discuss the details of an on-going police investigation.
This means even the most senior detectives in charge of an inquiry are not allowed: to speak to the press and the media. Quite frankly this was a ludicrous state of affairs which made covering the story near impossible

19: In their evidence the McCanns. referring to the press in general terms, said that many stories had been "made up" and that they did not believe "police sources" were genuine.
In the case of every story I wrote, the police sources I quoted were genuine.
I had three sources in Portugal who provided me with information.
Two were Portuguese journalists who were in daily contact with the most senior officers investigating Madeieine McCann’s disappearance.
The third was a translator who worked for the Portuguese Police and translating and interpreting in the Portuguese legal system.

In my opinion there is indeed a lot of propaganda still doing the rounds the majority of it having its genesis way back in 2007 when Portuguese law was openly flouted by representatives of the Portuguese legal system.
You really couldn't make it up could you.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

You make a claim that the mccanns, are making a false accusation of mistakes..
Your claim has, zero evidence to support it and is nothing more than guesswork... The very points you criticise others, for.  Do you realise how silly your claim makes you look

You think Kate who has first hand knowledge of this deliberately told lies to discredit the Portuguese legal system you mean, but have no evidence to back up your accusation.

Pilditch admits that he had no contact with the Portuguese police; he simply believed Portuguese journalists when they told him they had such contacts.

He certainly had other sources; the McCanns, their family and friends and Clarence Mitchell were regular contributors to his stories.

So you’re claiming he lied to the Leveson Inquiry when he said his police sources were genuine?

How could he know? His sources weren't police officers.

So his genuine police sources were feeding him lies then as the McCanns suspected, in your view?
