That's exactly what Bamber thought but he and you are wrong. A single .22 round will not always kill a human and that is why Bamber fired several shots into most of his victims. Had a novice like Sheila used that rifle very few shots would have been on target. And regardless, it's sheer fantasy to think Sheila could ever have fought with her father and not ended up with injuries to herself or his blood all over her. It's all very silly imo to promote such a proposition and most people can see that now.
So Newton's physics are all wrong too then?
The Home Office has calculated that a force of 3 - 4 joules is required to inflict a penetrating wound, point 26:
https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm199900/cmselect/cmhaff/95/9504.htmThe cartridges used at WHF weigh 2.59 grammes with a muzzle velocity of 1040 ft/s.
Kinetic Energy is 1/2 mv squared
Kinetic energy is 130.127 joules.
Joules required to inflict penetrating wound is 3 - 4 joules
Joules produced by muzzle velocity of cartridges used at WHF is 130.127 joules meaning one gunshot wound to the head with the hollow nosed bullets would be lethal. 25/26 were discharged because the perp was inexperienced with firearms.
