Great stuff.

Do you get "Only Fools and Horses" ?  They are really funny too and hundreds of episodes to watch.
Yes, they were funny too.  They are not showing that program lately.   The TV stations aren't doing that well as a lot of people are being entertained via other means rather than TV, so we are getting a lot of repeats.

The anniversary of the Whakaari (White Island) eruption today.  A sad day, but a time to praise the heroes that went in and rescued the badly burnt victims.

The anniversary of the Whakaari (White Island) eruption today.  A sad day, but a time to praise the heroes that went in and rescued the badly burnt victims.
There was one tour guide who is reported to have had a premonition about the possibility of an eruption back in Sept 2019.  He was one of the two New Zealanders that died on the island.  "Hayden Marshall-Inman was a tour guide and among 22 people killed in the Dec. 9, 2019, eruption on White Island."

(Overnight that day there was heavy rain and his body was washed out to sea and was never recovered.  The first I heard of that was tonight on a special documentary.  I knew he was in the water but I thought maybe he went into the water to cool his burns.)

Very sad but with all due respect to the deceased I don't think predicting an eruption of an active volcano some time in the future can be classed as a premonition or in any way psychic.

It would be strange if the tour guide didn't take his group right to the edge of the crater lake that day but they did.    It is the unpredictable nature of this type of volcano that makes it dangerous.  Should they stop tourists going there in the future?   This is the question we as a country are grappling with this year.

I would have to agree that "predicting an eruption of an active volcano sometime in the future can (NOT) be classed as a premonition or in any way psychic."   If it was on a specific day, the day of the eruption, it would be a different matter IMO.

There is geological monitoring equipment on the island, but we were told there isn't really any warning.

Awaiting another premonition that is suitable to be tested.

I have saved the thread (pages 1 to 75) so at least my work will not be lost if the thread is deleted.
Have you ever considered that you may be inducing these natural disasters somehow, on a quantum level?
In theory, just as you are able to depict and predict events in the future, technically it is possible that the reverse is true; that you are inducing and transmitting these terrible catastrophes via telekinesis through the ether.
Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. We now know what Newton didn't, that this also occurs on a molecular level, so why not a quantum level?
Heisenberg stated in his Uncertainty Principal that 'the position of some particle is determined, the less precisely its momentum can be predicted from initial conditions, and vice versa'.
Considering this, is it then possible that there's some unseen mechanism at work, with you, or more precisely, your brain, is generating the quantum uncertainty, which manifests itself to you as a 'vision' for the want of a better term, which then disrupts the space / time continuum in a subtle, hitherto imperceptible way, creating a chain reaction of sorts, culminating in a physical event?

Just a thought.

Deepak Chopra has already postulated the link between quantum theory and psychic phenomena... Sceptics call its  it Wu Wu..

I like Michael Shermer

So we could be on to something here.
I'm going to go away now, review Chopra's work, meditate and fast for several hours in a hermetically sealed shipping container and postulate a theory that incorporates all aspects of known and unknown quantum clairvoyance.
Might call it The General's General Theory of General Quantum Clairvoyance. Don't know yet.

Surely you've got something more up to date than that "Larry King Live"  that was a good interview back in the day.

It would have to start off as The General's Special Theory of Quantum Clairvoyance.  The special case has to be proven first.

I've got a premonition in my head.  Just a very simple one that is actually unlikely to happen.  But if it does then it will be before Christmas.

Its rather an amazing thought.  Years ago, around the years 1989-90 I met this woman who began quoting Biblical scripture to me.  I had a very accurate premonition about things that were later spoken around us.  It made me wonder "what is the truth?"  So I decided to stop work until I found the truth.  30 years later that job is still unfinished.
I decided to read the Bible from cover to cover.  You'll find some remarkable similarity to your theory right back in Genesis.  (Not expressed the scientific jargon as you do, but along a similar train of thought.)

Where imagination was linked to reality.  The way it read to me was if you can imagine it, it will happen.

I'm not sure if this is the right bit "And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them."

It is idea that the thought precedes the realisation, that interested me.

Is it something like, "I should buy some Christmas presents before Christmas"?

No.  More to do with something I almost certainly won't receive and hadn't even thought of receiving.

But yesterday I felt as though it was on it's way.
