I took this screenshot years ago. Any ideas re. validity of the source?

OG weren't interested , having moved the timeline onto the Smith sighting, who til this day remains the only one described as carrying a girl fitting a description close to that of Madeleine McCann.

How accurate are the timelines considering the the words have apparently been lost in translation.

I think it is a given that Kate describing an open window and raised shutters leading her to know Maddie was abducted is not something "lost in translation". The problem is that entry via the window is neither plausible nor logical.

Entry via window is logical and plausible

Yep, in Botswana, El Salvador & Timbuktu & buying party gifts in Amsterdam, not a few hundred metres from the apartment at around the time (allegedly) that she was '(allegedly) discovered missing.

Still, all them sightings help Christian Brueckner's defence, which is obviously fantastic, more power to him I say.

In my opinion this sighting, could well be the one downplayed and dismissed too early. Look at the time, his physical characteristics, his movement. A small child could have been concealed in his long jacket, for instance.

Yeah, you could just tuck a 4 year old in an inside pocket, no problem.

Entry via the shuttered window is neither plausible nor logical. They were opened from the inside in the  normal way. It's not logical nor plausible to suppose an abductor entered via a shuttered and closed window
the window wasn’t locked so it would be possible to open it from the outside.

I don't. That is what logic dictates!!

It's because the shutters were closed and the curtains were drawn at 9:35 - 9:40pm. Gerry notices at around 9pm that the bedroom door was more open than he left it. Logic says that must have been the abductor (since no-one else has been in. Matt's first check was a listen outside). Logic also tells us that in the abduction scenario the abductor is still present after Matt's second check as this must be when he (the abductor) opens the window and shutters from the inside.
There could be other logical explanations.

How do you know it wasn't locked?

I thought the McCanns never checked?

My mistake.  If it had been left unlocked it would have been possible to open from the outside.  You don’t know it was definitely locked so it’s still a plausible point of entry.

Not once during the week did the McCanns check the security of the ground floor window of the room where they were leaving their most precious belongings.

Well within the bounds of responsible parenting I'm sure.

Easily done if the shutter was left down, they may have assumed it was not possible to open from outside, but we now know it was.

Or they could just be lying about the whole window shutter business & the abduction.

I doubt the window was the point of entry but I still wouldn’t rule it out - imo it’s eminently possible.
