That's a pity Luz, as I was going to ask you to confirm whether the following is an accurate translation
from Amarals Book

QUOTE
Tuesday May 1st.

For an hour and a quarter, between 10.30 and 11.45pm, in the apartment where she is in the company of her brother and her sister, Madeleine does not stop crying and calling out for her father. She does not calm down until after her parents return.

Wednesday May 2nd

At breakfast, Madeleine asks her parents why they left her to cry the night before, and did not come back immediately

UNQUOTE

Unless there are errors in translation  - then as it stands it is a blatently untruthful account from beginning to end.  Amaral lies by 'omission' and includes one actual downright lie (the date of 2nd May).   IMO all done to deliberately manipulate the reader into believing what he wants them to believe with no regard for the truth whatsoever.

Very sly and very dishonest IMO.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

Let's see, who could have told Amaral this information about Madeleine?  Oh yes - the McCanns.    That sort of puts his book into the hearsay come fantasy section as he can't have it both ways.  He either believe's them or he doesn't.  Unless he has spoken to Madeleine in a dream like that other Portuguese fruitcake lawyer.

I am not so sure that Marcos Correia is a fruitcake.  I wouldn't mind seeing some actual proof of him saying he had a dream.
There have been so many fibs, mistranslations and taken out of context statements that I don't trust anyone's say so any more.
He is a Human Rights Lawyer, fighting against Police Brutality in Portugal, and this has not gone down too well.
He also recently won a case of defamation against himself, brought by Goncalo Amaral.

Its all there in the Portuguese press reports Eleanor when he freely gave interviews about his visions.  No wonder the judge kicked him out of the court.  You have to wonder about these people and their mental status.

He was allowed back into Court afterwards because the decision to remove him was over ruled.

Everyone is now saying that he did a runner to Brazil, when in fact he has just married a Brazilian lady.

Who to believe sometimes?

Mind you, mad or not, he ran rings round Amaral and his legal team, so draw your own conclusions.

So not very mad then.

And I would still like to see what he actually said, in context.

I am a member of a Forum on which he posts from time to time, and he doesn't come over as the least bit mad to me.  Just a man who is trying to fight Police Brutality in Portugal.  Not a popular crusade.
Goncalo Amaral made a complaint against him on the night of his 50th Birthday Party.  Amaral's Party, that is.  It was dismissed by The PJ.

Marcos Correia currently has a case pending in The EU Court re The Torture of Leonor Cipriano in PJ Custody.  The EU Court has accepted his complaint.  We now have to await the outcome.  This could take a number of years.

It took The EU Court thirteen years to rule on The Winter Fuel Allowance for British Pensioners living in Europe.  We won, by the way.
I am currently doing battle to get back payments, and at the moment it is looking good.
Sorry if that is off topic.
