The McCanns are the most reluctant 'celebrities' I have ever seen.  The only reason they ever agree to appear in public is to keep Madeleine's profile as high as possible in the public eye.   If you think that is something to criticise, then please explain why.
Once again, Benice, it seems you live in their brains, and even organize their thoughts ! 6 years of "keeping Madeleine's profile as high as possible" has been useless. They'd better try another trick.

Well....it was a bit of a crime. Hence the horrible mugshot, and his testicles ending up in Liz Hurley's handbag.
What ?
I thought this guy paid a prostitute for a fellatio. Or didn't he pay ?

I think the problem was he should have paid a little bit more, and rented a room, rather than get his dubious jollies in a car on the side of the road.

Wasn't George Michael also prosecuted for lewd behaviour but in a public toilet?

I must say, if I was the parent of a missing child seeking assistance from the Missing Person charity I would be gravely concerned at the moral values of some of these celeb donators.

"Who do you have to screw around here to get a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit?"

I'll explain. As long as they remain celebrities to keep Madeleine's profile high, they hope people will think they're not involved. Were they involved, wouldn't they logically step back after some roundabouts ? In fact many people don't believe them but are disturbed by that argument, which proves its efficacy.
All well, but if and only if collective beliefs prevail.

He may well have been, but unless he professes support for the McCanns that behaviour will be deemed to be irrelevant by the sceptics.
The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

That toilet saw a lot of action. Charles Hawtrey, Peter Wyngarde, Wilfred Brambell, John Gielgud, Joe Orton.....and who's that frizzy little dumpling, wobbling about on the cistern??

Some people live in a hurry. Those who snoop inside cars live dangerously.

Ho ho!! And those whose faces are plastered all over the planet but have such a pressing need for a blowie that they will be remembered for that for evermore, rather than their (ahem) acting skills, live even more dangerously. And also make themselves look like a bit of a desperado.    8)-)))

Life must be boring, Benice, you anticipate everything, no fun !

Well first of all Anne, explain why you think they are celebrities.   What behaviour do they display to make you think they are celebrities?   Or that they think they are?    They carry on with their normal lives, Gerry goes to work (on his bike) and Kate takes care of the twins and involves herself in the Missing Children charity and in making sure the public don't forget her daughter.      I understand that later on this year she is taking the twins camping.  That doesn't sound much like a 'celebrity' lifestyle to me.

I know. I was telling a hippy friend of mine, and he said "I can't believe it's not Buddha."
