It's not me who needs to keep up Red.  IMO Andy Redwood clearly said that they thought Madeleine was the victim of stranger abduction.   What they do not  know is what happened to her after she was abducted - i.e. that she could be alive or dead.

Please show us some document - I would love to have it to see that clown chew it.

First it's not a mantra, and second if they were portuguese they would have faced at least a 5 year prison sentence.
They knew it but they risked it because if found accessories to murder, in portugal, they would face at least 25 years.

Sorry, that simply is not true. It is your vindictive speculation.

Please show some document which proves your statement or...

Can you provide the link to where he said that ?

Having very clearly heard DCI Redwood say that neither the McCanns, nor the Tapas group are suspects or persons of interest, I cannot see who you think could have been a potential abductor unless it was a stranger?

I think you have to take statements in context and the context is very clear.

Don't be silly Mo. I'm here because I don't feel justice has been done, gilet believes it has. So again I'll ask why she's here ?

Do you think justice will be done if you continue to spread misinformation and myths on the case? You can remain here and libel the McCann's as much as you like (it might get you arrested) but still doesn't change the Attorney Generals final report or Scotland Yards belief that she might well have been the victim of a stranger abduction. They are the experts who are in the best position to determine what direction the case should go in, not keyboard detectives or anti McCann campaigners who don't have the ability to comprehend the importance of the claims made by Scotland Yard.

Firstly Mo libel is a tort ie a civil matter therefore you can't be arrested for it. Secondly it is not my motives for being here we are discussing, nor indeed yours, it is gilet and so far we have yet to have an answer.

I am here for three reasons.

To read and debate and to try to get to the truth.

Debate ? What exactly are you debating ?

Please refer to the topic title. Or had you not realised that is where the information about subjects is listed?

It depends on how you interpret what is actually said. If what is said is unclear and does not answer a question directly but waffles around the question, one can make different things of it.

There is no direct quote from Redwood that he or anyone else in SY believes Madeleine was taken by a stranger. If you read the transcript or watch his video off GMTV you will see that he says only this....

The forensic study of the timeline shows there was an opportunity there for abduction

An abduction is a criminal act by a stranger

Thats all Benice,he says its possible she was abducted, he doesnt say anything more

The only time he has used the word *believe* is when asked if he believes she could still be alive to which he said yes, as he is keeping an open mind

I am fully aware of the subject matter. There was no neglect, Madeleine was abducted so I ask again why are you here ? What is there left to debate ?

I am glad that you have denied the claims of Stephen25000 that the McCanns were guilty of neglect.

I am also pleased that you have admitted that Madeleine was abducted.

Perhaps it is for posts such as this one from you that I am here?

But, being more serious I find your repeated demands to know my reason for debating issues here to be rather silly. Perhaps in your view everyone should make a declaration of intent before being allowed to post on any forum. In reality my motive is none of your business.

At the end of the day, if Madeleine has been abducted and I stress the 'if' here as there is no direct evidence that she has been, it is the abductor who should be accountable for the crime.  The McCann's conduct might well have being a contributing factor in facilitating an abduction but it is not of sufficient seriousness to constitute a crime in its own right.  Their stupidity not being of sufficient seriousness to countenance state involvement in any further action against them.
If Madeleine was abducted from bed, there's no way her parents could be blamed.
