No I don't think there is much chance at all of that possibility as I know that the papers will be getting the TV schedules directly from the TV companies around this time for programming two weeks hence.
I don't think it had anything to do with Lisbon.
You may think cynically and conspiratorially all the time. I don't. I understand the rhythm of the media and think that is the simplest and most likely option.
OK ... let's run with that
The Express 'happen' upon this development because of TV listings
The minion on the paper who mundanely works on the TV schedules spots the 'scoop' ... and rings the editor ( who naturally takes the call from the minion )
"You are onto something here" late working editor tells wannabee Jimmy Olsen ... "Put me through to my man at the Yard"
Scotland Yard, having been scooped by the minion in TV listings, tells the editor all .... even post Leveson, the editor's man at the yard spills his guts about a very sensitive investigation that has cost the public about five million pounds
The editor ... pleased ... runs his story
But he is a generous editor, and decides that he will share Jimmy TV listings Olsen's scoop with
otherl newspapers ... so they can all break the news together
Is that how you think it worked ?
