Is this the 'hiding in plain sight' idea, pegasus?
Because the Smith sighting was very close to the social area in PdL. Carrier had to walk across that road with several restaurants and bars, and probably walked near or past the little restaurant that VIXTE refers to (The Dolohin restaruant on Rua da Calheta, is that right, VIXTE?).
Yes, I think you are right.
That, actually would be very brave. Why would he do that?
Although if he was a thief that wouldn't be unusual.
When I was younger we had a thief living in our building. He once asked my ex boyfriend if he could give him a lift to pick up a huge gas bottle ' from his grandma' and my ex being naive said 'yes why not' and he drove him to his 'grandma's house' and my ex naively waited for the guy and the guy went into the house, took the gas bottle, opened the car, put the gas bottle in the car.. and this is when my ex saw a guy from the house running and shouting.. but the thief just said 'drive' .. my ex did not drive.. he stopped.. and he discussed the situation with the owner.. that was so funny.. we were laughing for years but it could be something similar with Madeleine.. if he was a thief he would not be afraid like.. they just go..
My family has a holiday home and we use one particular guy for handy jobs and we were warned by several people to not to use him but he does excellent job and he is very cheap and kind of able and friendly so we continued to use him.. once the police came to our door, they said the followed him to our house and he might have left a stolen goods in our home.. we let them search but they found nothing.. although the guy ended up in prison that time and we never saw him again.. he did hide the stolen goods but not in our house, he left it next door.. that guy was also cool, who would say he was a thief.. and he just stole something and 10 minutes later came to us to do his work..
