Regarding the closed curtains in the children`s bedroom flaring in the draught..........Dr McCann didn`t mention this in her witness statement of 4th May 2007. She said they were open and she saw the shutters raised:-

Ah but if the curtains had been open, as in Kate's first statement, then they would have been open at Oldfield's check. That is, of course, if the man Jane saw was the abductor.

Of course this glaring error had been noticed by the 10th of May timeline and changed accordingly.

That could quite easily be a misunderstanding due to the language barrier (and don't forget that her statement is not verbatim).

As far as I'm aware, she always describes it as "the curtains whooshed open". That's not formal English and could have sounded like "were", particularly for someone unfamiliar with her accent trying to interpret, or João Carlos just noted "open". If she had said that they had blown towards her, it might have been clearer for non-native English speakers.

Yes, I'm aware of that. Your first quote sounds as if the wind blew the curtains open. Those recording / translating don't mention the wind, but they may not have understood what she was trying to explain.

Pesky translations aside.........seeing drawn curtains wafting or flaring is not the same as seeing open curtains which were formerly drawn closed.

Maybe because it's been discussed to death, with both sides going round and round in circles and it is such a NON issue.  If there is any great significance to this then why was it not one of the questions Kate was asked as an arguido?

Clear evidence of fabricated timelines/statements gone wrong.

When asked, on the 3rd of May 2007, at around 10 p.m., when she entered the apartment, what she saw and what she did, where she searched, what she handled, she did not reply.

Perhaps if she'd answered the question they could have expanded based on her reply... there's a reason why they asked that question which wasn't lost on Kate.
