Rebelo was half-decent compared to Amaral, which isn't saying much really.  He might have called for a reconstruction earlier had he been in charge from the beginning, which may have been a bit more helpful, and he was right to ask for  the Gaspar statements, which presumably he analysed investigated and dismissed as irrelevant.

Stop sidestepping questions relating to the abduction theory which is the topic of this thread.
No theory has been proven or disproven yet.
As to questioning the McCanns, are you really as dense as your question?

The first people to be questioned by SY would have been the McCanns & their holiday group as they were the centre of the investigation.
The primary evidence to support an abduction is that Madeleine went missing in a manner unknown to her parents & all subsequent efforts to trace her have proved fruitless so far. Her bedroom window/shutters had also been tampered with by person(s) unknown.
If there was no abduction, why do so many people in PdL have so much to hide?
