Or he gave her the right advice, but she should have ignored it - and concentrated instead on how it would look to some people if she did take his advice?

IOW she should have realised that what some members of the public  might think of her decision - was far more important than putting herself in danger of being arrested for a crime which she did not commit and thus bringing the search for her daughter to an end.   Really?

She should have answered the questions and there wouldn't be this doubt today.

Well,   as you have never been in the situation that Kate McCann was in,  I don't think you can say she should have answered the questions.    Kate was advised by her lawyer not to.

You mean the Police thought, "She doesn't want to answer question, oh well fair enough"?

So if you knew that if you answered the questions, the police could decide they didn't believe your answers and could arrest you for a crime you hadn't commited - you would still have answered - even though you didn't have to?

So easy to make judgements on others when it's their lives at risk of being ruined and not your own.

She clearly didn't answer the questions, just in case her answers didn't correspond to her husbands.

What?  asking her what she found when she entered the apartment,  what she touched what she did,  why did she leave the twins when she went to raise the alert etc.   Gerry wouldn't have known any of that.

it was obvious,  they were going to twist her words and try and frame her,  they said they had 100% DNA of Madeleine,  they wanted a confession,  but they didn't get one.    Kate asked them if Madeleine was dead and to tell her if  she was dead,  what a horrible thing to do to a mother whose daughter was missing.

Utter complete cobblers.

Questioning the parents in missing children cases is standard procedure, invariably because statistics show parents or close family members are involvwd in child disappearances.

How would she know what questions Gerry was going to be asked?

Surely the same reason you claim above would apply equally to him - so why did he answer the questions?  That makes no sense if what you claim is true.

What kind of logic is that ?

It wasn't just questioning though was it,  it was accusing,  100% DNA of Madeleine all lies.

and do you naively believe police all around the world don't adopt similar tactics when they think they have found the person or persons responsible for a crime ?

Quite right, Lace.

From what I can gather, by broadcasting what she has, Poulton has already libelled Kate, in what, 3 or 4 minutes of broadcast film?
