The judge is obviously not prepared to condone any claim for damages.
Obviously not, because it was only the normal amount of damage caused, the amount you'd expect from any book in fact.

In which case she did call them liars, if what you say is correct (which it isn't, but never mind).

You'd need medical evidence to quantify the damage, and to measure how it changed from what already existed previously. As far as we know they didn't provide any?

Is medical evidence a feature of most libel trials then?

Well if you're claiming psychological/emotional damage, it would help.

absolute tosh...if someone accuses you of covering up the death of your daughter...damage is obvious and natural.....no need for a doctor...I suppose they could always ask Kate if they needed medical advice

For the damages 8(0(* You can't just demand 1m, you have to provide evidence. From what we know they presented mainly personal testimony.

You would get stressed either way...guilty or innocent.

Yes, and EXPERT evidence at that.  Any fool can go into a witness box and say just about anything but without expert evidence it means zilt.

Their narrative is that in late 2007 and half of 2008 most of the world was already accusing them of that. So not only did they lose their daughter, they were then already accused by newspapers and commentators all over the world. If after all that you're going to say a mere book made you feel even worse then you surely have to provide some evidence? &%+((£
