WS I was reluctant to cite you as a prime example ... thank you for saving me the embarrassment of 'outing' another forum member.

Your assessments of other posters jolly well should embarrass you.

Isn't it deliberately provocative and offensive to call WS a troll ?

No.  We all love him to bits.  It's a term of endearment in his case.

There's only one true troll operating on this forum who absolutely fulfills that description with virtually every post he makes and that is dear ol Spammy, IMO.

I would disagree, WS just highlights the absurdity of the position of some posters by the irony in his posts

if he doesn't post deliberately provocative and offensive posts why are his posts often removed and why is he virtually permanently on a warning?

I think the distinction is a little too subtle for some Starti.

I think taking the p out of someone who suffered terrible burns whilst in the forces during the falklands is not subtle...but no doubt you see it as funny

By definition nobody on this forum is a troll (sorry WS  ?{)(**).

A troll is one whose sole purpose is to disrupt and cause as much offence as possible, with no intention actually to discuss or contribute to discussion.

I understand Brenda was posting similar to these tweets...context is everything

I admitted to Wumming, not Trolling, there's a subtle difference.

Well spotted, I do, occasionally contribute to discussion, just about.
