What the faithful seem to forget it is because of Amaral's success at getting verdicts overturned in this case that has brought us to where were are now. No reason to see why that will change.

This is an incredible victory for the mccanns and a complete shock to the doubters judging by the posts made on this forum...amaral can appeal all he likes...he has described how miserable his life is at the moment and it will continue...it may well go on for years but that will make no difference to Kate and Gerry...but amarals assets will remain frozen

I am not saying the cases per se, but the fact that he has told lies and done shifty things.  Maybe he behaved the same in Court?

Who paid the bill off then?  Amarals money was tied up.

I think he behaved in an erratic way in Court ... to give one example ... firing his lawyer at the concluding stages which caused further delay plus some of his witnesses if they bothered to appear at all didn't bolster his case any with at least one denying reading his book or watching his documentary.

None the less I think the learned judge based her ruling in the McCanns favour on points of law.  When she questioned a witness saying, "– The fact they are innocent ... " shows she had a very good grasp of the case.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

And Madeleine will still have had her future snatched from her due to her parents selfishness.

A hundred victories in a hundred courtrooms won't change that.

we don't need to change it because it isn't true.......I blame the criminal not the victims of crime

I blame the criminals too.

It is usual for criminals to be held accountable for their actions, but those who allow themselves to be associated with criminals such as John Hirst  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hirst_%28criminal%29
and Debbie Butler http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2919043/McCanns-troll-stole-18-000-parents.html  to name but two, are hardly likely to agree.

As far as the court case goes hasn't it struck people that there was something missing from the equation which could and should have ensured there would be no award to the McCanns ... only a heavy hand on their collars directing them to the nearest lock-up?

The ACE ???  Where was the ace we were all told would be produced?

Is this bundle of cash that the McCanns are to receive to be provided equally between the various parties?

It would be presumptuous to say at this stage.  If Mr Amaral appeals which he is entitled do, it is anyone's guess as to how this could yet turn out.

I see, as expected, Amaral is appealing.

Jolly good.

If you mean the defendants I was of the opinion not but it is difficult to work out.
There is the matter of Isobel's bill (bill you note not bell) which will make a dent in the receipts.
I wonder what the P&L for this venture looks like. But as we are constantly reminded it was never about the money.

I understand that. What I meant was, as it stands,  is Amaral liable for the whole 500k, or merely one third

The judgement is against Mr Amaral solely.

Right, so have judgements been made against the other parties as well?
