They have accepted that they did wrong and made a huge judgement error.  Young children should never be left alone for any length of time under any circumstances.

Kate doesn't refer to it as 'wrong' though, she doesn't answer that question.The most she admits to is a mistake and she doesn't admit to that unequivocally. In my opinion it was definitely wrong, and a responsible parent would never have done it. Actions speak louder than words;

But she admits it was a decision that torments her with every waking moment. "We've doubted what we did," Kate says. "It's hard to answer the question, 'Were we wrong to leave them?' If I'd had to think for one second, 'Should we have dinner and leave them?' I wouldn't have done it.

"It didn't happen like that. I didn't have to think for a second, that's how safe I felt. It's not like we went down town or anything. That night runs over and over in my mind and I'm sure people will learn from our mistake, if you want to call it that. I love her and I'm a totally responsible parent and that's the only thing that keeps me going."

Could they have been unduly influenced by the other parents who were in the habit of leaving their children alone and using a baby monitor to keep tabs on them?

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

'If you want to call it that' Yes I do. What would Kate prefer to call it then?

That could be so, but none of the others left the balcony door unlocked leading to that clearly dangerous balcony. I'm surprised that any of them left children alone in travel cots too, which are not secure like real cots.

I don't know - why don't you write and ask her if this matter concerns you so much?

Don't need to, it's obvious she's not comfortable admitting she made a mistake.

It's not easy admitting to making a mistake, especially not to the judgmental MSM and its even more judgmental readers.  Gerry managed it however, guess he's not quite as wicked in your eyes as Kate then!

Quote
Gerry McCann told yesterday of his terrible regret at leaving his children alone on the night Madeleine disappeared.

He admitted: 'We made a mistake, but we are paying more for it than anyone could ever possibly imagine.'

Up until the last live interview Alf Madeleins parents did not express regret, but a statement of they thought it was safe, and did nothing wrong so put your papers in the loo pile

As I have pointed out on many occasions...the Drs McCcann will have received psychological counselling. In order to cope with their awful predicament they will have been told not to blame themselves ...it is a very negative thing to do... after all it is the abductors fault...not the McCanns.....I have no problem with the way they are dealing with the situation

No it isn't.

Now give concise , logical reasons to support your thesis.

I would say it's a fact...in fact I did say it's a fact...I have evidence to back it up but can't be bothered  to present it....tough
