We don't know that Leicester Police didn't pass it on.  The PJ knew about these statements when they asked for copies.  How did they know?  And what happened to the original statements made in English?

However, Leicester Police were primarily obligated to investigate these suspicions, especially as the incident was not directly related to the holiday in Portugal.

I think it possible it was passed on timeously and subsequently misplaced ... how else would Ricardo Paiva been able to ask for it naming Dr Gaspar?  he couldn't ask for something he didn't know existed.

Perhaps it is incumbent on you or one of your fellow justice seekers and child abuse campaigners to find out if the police have fully investigated the suspected paedo and ensure his children are not at risk?  A sort of side project for you, you could call it.

To some extent I agree but Paiva could have heard about them by anyone within LC before putting it into writing.

Not sure if Faith is quite up to the sort of thing.

I'm happy to help, though.  Unfortunately, I can't copy and paste the screenshot from this (highly pertinent to the discussion) link from another board, so I'm sure the admin will forgive (in this instance) a link from another board that seems to pretty much confirm that Mrs Gaspar's statement (as we read it on line) is not a true reflection of what she actually said ....

In particular, the wording: Matters identified attributed to Mrs Gaspar

suggests that what we read on-line is not an accurate rending of what Mrs Gaspar said, tending to make all further discussion on the matter moot.

We have no base-line to pursue further discussion on ...

it must be fairly obvious to even the densest on here that if you are discussing the sexual abuse of your a daughter with another man you don't do it when someone is sitting between you. The whole idea is stupid and I am not surprised that there is some doubt about how accurate this statement is.....


is there really anyone on here who thinks it possible that Gerry was discussing sexual abuse knowing that Dr Gaspar would hear every word

Leicestershire police didn't do the translating. I would want to see the original of such a controversial document as the accusations in it are ridiculous
