Which means that certainly no one in Praia Da Luz has been ruled out (except of  course we've been told in no uncertain terms that the McCanns and their friends have been by a senior copper, but he's "Yesterday's Man" now so we can conveniently forget everything he ever said and pin all our hopes on the Lady copper who hasn't said a word yet but who we hope will come out soon and announce that dawn raids on Rothley are imminent).

Would you care to provide a cite which quotes a senior copper saying 'the McCanns have been ruled out'?

Gerry was in the restaurant at the time of the Smith sighting.

It is very highly likely the Smiths saw Madeleine's abductor.

What proof is there of abduction ferryman ?

What, again???!  But if you insist...

No, I haven't worked out why you are so pleased that Redwood failed.  Perhaps you could tell me.

The PJ have been accused of that.

Given the pigs' ear (at most charitable) that was made of interpreting the forensic results, why do you find it so outlandish that evidence might have been planted?

Try reading my post again.

I asked: Why do you always sound so pleased about it (Andy Redwood finding a "big fat zero")?
You replied "Haven't you worked that one out yet? How do you find evidence if none exists in the first place"

So, no I haven't worked out why you always sound so pleased that Andy Redwood has found nothing.  Your second sentence above only serves to muddy the waters - are you pleased that there was no evidence to find?  Or what?  Once again - why do you always sound so pleased that Andy Redwood found "a big fat zero"?

I'm disappointed that SY have, so far,  proved to no more effective than the PJ, despite the substantial resources available to them.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

Being ruled out is not the same thing as not being a suspect no matter how much you like to spin it davel.

Take note of the missing child case in Idaho Falls.  The parents were initially declared not suspects but hey ho, seven months later and they are the prime suspects.  Things change, investigations move on, new evidence is revealed.
Who has ever claimed that "being ruled out" is a status that is carved in stone, never to change?  The McCanns and / or their friends and / or Robert Murat could become suspects again who knows?  I think that's highly unlikely but from everything we know currently they remain "ruled out" and will remain "ruled out" until or unless we and they are informed otherwise.

Some crimes just cannot be solved no matter how many resources you throw at them, but that doesn't mean every possible resource should not have been used in an attempt to solve them.

Well, let's make it easy for you, I never expected him or his team to find evidence of something which I never believe happened.

Tell me, were you happy, when damages were awarded against Amaral ?
