A lot of supporters appear to want to discuss Amaral’s theory rather than Sadie’s. You have to wonder why?

Perhaps I'm following a different 'Sadie's Theory' but according to the one I understand Madeleine was alive in 2012, hence no freezer.

What has Amaral/freezer got to do with Sadie's Theory?

It has nothing to do with it at all. We seem to have a situation where no-one actually wants to discuss or defend Sadie's theory, they just want to defend her right to propose and propagate it. In my opinion the theory isn't consistent with forum rules;

Your opening post in this thread way back in 2016, "Sadie's theory" stated:

"Could we possibly have a thread on Sadie's theory?

I am happy to cut and paste various bits and pieces that have appeared over various threads over the last few days that relate to this theory.

There was something along the lines that Sadie's theory was buried within some other thread.  I cannot find that post.

I think some of the material Sadie has researched may be important in the Madeleine case.

This is not to say I agree with everything Sadie believes.

But I happen to think she may have unearthed some information that is relevant.

May we have a thread on Sadie's theory?  Like I said, I am happy to do the donkey work.

In my opinion Sadie has contributed greatly to the sum of knowledge posted on this forum.  She has always proved open to debate regarding the content of all her posts.  For example

When this thread took off again recently (from page 26) ... in my opinion there was no attempt made to debate with one who enjoys an enquiring mind.
Rather, I believe the immediate response was for some to adopt a shut down mode ... for example five members "liked" the following post:
"IMO you shouldn’t bring your unsubstantiated and unexplained theories on this forum. It is impossible to discuss them as you do not provide enough information and it also brings the forum and especially the supporters case into disrepute."
http://miscarriageofjustice.co/index.php?topic=7059.msg469711#msg469711

Among the ill researched ridicule attacking Sadie's theory from thereon in was the following expansion which deflected the thread into newer waters:

"The problem with 'theories' in my opinion is that many of them suggest connections between this and that when there's no evidence that a connection exists. 'Theory' is just another word for guessing, speculating and assuming. Like the abduction theory, for example."

Which in my opinion sums up the Amaral theory precisely; so in my opinion until the editors decide what is to be done with the now wide ranging aspects of this thread which even gives Brenda Leyland a mention  http://miscarriageofjustice.co/index.php?topic=7059.msg470096#msg470096  comparisons having been made with Amaral's theory ... merit mention of exactly what his theory involves.   I hope that answers your question.

Unlike his idea that MI5 would have "case files" on the disappearance of the child of two provincial doctors on holiday when his view is that she had an accident behind a sofa while her parents were absent?

Or that US foreign intelligence agencies would have had satellite images of PdL that evening who are reluctant to reveal that Gerry was Smithman?

LOL. Seriously??

P.M. - Would it have been possible to go further, in gathering evidence, after what took place in September 20071, or not?

G.A. - As I said before, the investigation is an investigation that is interrupted, an investigation that needs to be concluded. I believe that it is possible to make progress, if it wasn't for lack of political will; now with political will, based on this note - which is only a note as you said, but remains an important note nevertheless between two ambassadors, from one ambassador to the US State Department, that must have the weight that it has. Hopefully now, it will also be disclosed those photos, those satellite images that we believe to be in the possession of the US authorities, that we, the Portuguese police mentioned first, and also requested, a request that was denied to us.

P.M. - In your understanding, what could those satellite images reveal?

G.A. - They can reveal who was the person that carried the child on that night on its way to the beach. According to an Irish couple statement, with an alleged 80% certainty, it was Gerald McCann himself. That could be the confirmation of that Irish couple's statement.

NB I haven't read through all this thread, just picking it up from the end at the moment.

Wasn’t their possession of satellite images the very thing that convinced the parents that Oakley International were the PIs to employ ?

From the McCanns and the Conman.

Tim Craig-Harvey: Something that the trust and the family found very enticing was the promise of the use of technical means - satellite imagery - and Kevin can provide this extraordinary means of finding missing people. Were there shots taken on the night of the abduction?

There seems to be quite a lot attached to Sadie's theory that sceptics including your good self are not too keen to have aired if the posts made starting with http://miscarriageofjustice.co/index.php?topic=7059.msg469699#msg469699 are anything to go by.

Why bother unless Sadie has touched a nerve somewhere?

Whatever people think about Amaral's theory it is based on information available to all in the official case files. His hypothesising relates to that contained within the files.

Sadie's theory includes references to unproved ethnic origins, unproved beliefs and practices, the unproven existence of 'untouchable elites' etc. etc.

Two completely different types of theory in my opinion.

Yet when I ask something I'm accused of goading.

Read Sadies post she mentions SY line of thinking just trying to ascertain what it is.

I have also read that Sadie will not divulge anything specific she has given to Scotland Yard ... I believe someone was taking the proverbial about just that not many posts back.

I'm beginning to suspect a bit of goading here.  I apologise if I've got you wrong ... but if I have not, please desist immediately.  Thank you.

It would be nice to know what it is in more detailed terms. It is impossible to judge her theory based on the information she supplies.

I believe Sadie has always gone with the stolen to order theory but there really isn't anything to support it. No child smugglers have ever been identified as operating on the Algarve in 2007 and no reports of suspicious foreign gangs loitering around the Luz area.  The location of Luz too is not ideal for a quick escape to Spain or North Africa, there really only is one main east west corridor, the A22 motorway, and the risk of that being blocked by GNR patrols would have been too great IMO as once you're on it there is no turning back.  Personally I just don't buy it.
