This sounds about right -    @)(++(*

Well I don't know why I came here tonight,
I got the feeling that something ain't right,
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs,
Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right
, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you

I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

They exist mostly on governmental, business and lottery grants, so staying high profile is vital. As far as I know they don't actually look for Missing People, they encourage the public to do that. They 'advertise' them on a website and provide telephone, email and text counselling to relatives. Their website lists other agencies who actually help with real searching.

This 'charity' has relaunched a few times with different names. Kate draws publicity, this isn't always 'good' publicity though. oops

Indeed, so this has nothing to do with searching for Maddie, let's get that straight. This is a signpost charity a bit like  most charities now, they sign post. bit pointless as one would expect some actual help. You also have to ask what kind of counseling Kate needed, she was a director of a company which used her 'missing' daughter as a source of income.  So maybe it is her knack for begging for money and her sales pitch rather than the circumstances of how her daughter disappeared which got her the post.

You really do have a very slanted viewpoint which is not very edifying to witness.

If you think for a millisecond that either of these two women would not prefer to be holding their daughters in their arms than the 'celebrity' they 'enjoy' ... you would be sadly mistaken.

Both have gone through pain which must at times have brought them to their knees in despair, they have managed to overcome that and turn it into positive action for others.  Both have a very unfortunate qualification which enables them the first hand knowledge of the suffering endured by the relatives of the missing.

They have been given a reward because of the work they have done on behalf of others and raising the profile of the charity which gives support to those suffering loss.

I think that is a worthwhile thing to do.

Perhaps you can point us to the official announcement by the charity?

so k mcc thinks she deserves a reward ....for maddie going missing ....everyone else was the ones who did the searching...and provided the money to do it ...not them

what k mcc did was leave her children alone...then put the blame on everyone else ...

Can you provide a cite please for Kate claiming that she deserves ANY reward for ANYTHING at ANY time.

I wonder if Kate McCann will resign as ambassador for MP after the recent public criticism of her suitability for the role? I'm sure she wouldn't want the charity ot the CRA to lose support due to her association with them.

Is there any evidence of the charity or CRA losing support due to her association with them?

That doesn't mean she thought she deserved it which is what you claimed.       Do you think Coral Jones also thought she deserved a reward.      She also left her child unsupervised, she didn't search for her when she went missing and she accepted donations to a fund.  All major crimes in some people's eyes.  But she too has accepted the award.

If you can't or don't want to recognise the efforts these two grieving mothers have contributed in trying to improve a missing child's chances of being found - then that's your prerogative.    Other people who do not demand that people must be perfect parents,  and who accept that human error can sometimes result in tragedy  - even when the chances of a particular tragedy happening are millions to one - have a different view.  And thank goodness for that.

IMO

 8@??)(  Well said Benice.

I see the tree that was decorated for April Jones has been vandalised.

Coral said this after receiving sick nasty posts to them blaming them for Coral's abduction -
"I have got to live with this every day. They wouldn’t say such things if it was their child and if they were in my shoes.”

These people are just there to attack and cause hurt to parents who have lost children by making a decision that they wish they never had.

Nothing Kate does will ever be right for some.  Fortunately very few people agree.

I think that Kate is so brave, and so is Coral Jones.  Neither of them are paid for what they do in the face of their own tragedies.

But I knew what would happen the minute I read the headlines, sad to say.
