Conspiracy theories like Old Mother Shipton's sayings and Nostradamus all have one thing in common.
They work real fine after the event but are not so hot before....iyswim

I know for certain that if a re-enactment was to be done it had to be held on a Friday the 13th of May.   8)--))

Why?

I would like the re-enactment to still go ahead.

I have identified at least 6 things I want clarified and I'm not complete yet.  I can't recall all of them off the top of my head but the one I have been raving on about is how close to the top road were Gerry and Jez standing as they talked?

Would it hurt?

It would need to have some value for it to be worthwhile...posters dont seem to be able to come up with any value..

lets do it...because it wouldnt hurt....doesnt really do it

Well it’s better than “we shouldn’t do it because I don’t see the point”.

It isnt. A reconstruction must have a purpose...none has been put forward...it must have  a point.....so your criticism is invalid and should at least have a caveat...imo......thats my opinion

I find the fact that they say they talked uphill of the gate, and they were walking toward each other one walking toward the upper road and the other walking toward the tapas entrance and they meet.  That to me is a physical impossibility so I want to see it done in a re-enactment to find out how it was done.  To see if one or more was telling a lie.
G-unit found a solution and that was Gerry came out front door, and walked from the top road down hill, but then why was Jez saying he thought Gerry came out of side gate, and in the second statement even Gerry says he left via the side gate.  Ok it would seem more reasonable to have them meeting where Jane said she saw them, but then Jez could never be right about being able to recognise someone on the top road.  And then that doesn't explain why the Agreed timeline said they met uphill of the gate.
None of this explains why Gerry and Jez didn't see Jane.
It has me totally stumped.
Which bit of this puzzle comes first?

So you want to check the tapas version of events... Why didn't the pj do this at the rogs if they thought it was necessary

A reconstitution is what the Portuguese do which involves the original participants, something which we in the UK are not familiar with.  This is not the same as a reconstruction involving stand-ins like police officers.

I agree it has to be worthwhile and it certainly would have been in the Maddie disappearance since so much doesn't add up.  There are too many conflicting accounts of who did and said what at various times between the tapas group and the hotel staff.  A reconstitution would identify who had the poor memory and who made things up.  Who was being genuine and who was obstructive.

Amaral and his team made a huge error in not arranging a reconstitution early on but then they were being pressurised in other directions.
