Madeleine's bedroom window is bottom left. The clue is it is covered in red disclosing dust.
Yep, and as you can see, even in the daylight the front door isn't visible from the entrance to the parking lot in front of block 5.
It is hidden around the corner in a recess to the left of Madeleines bedroom.
Where is Madeleine's bedroom window in this photo?

The crimescene tape is high enough to drive under it. Car in photo Misty showed us but it isn't in this one. So it is coming and going from the crime scene. Is it a police car?
The wall that you see running close to the building encloses the walkway to the front doors of all the apartments. To access ANY of those front doors, one has to walk across the car park going well off the photo to the right. The open end (entrance) of the walkway that everyone must initially go in by, is in the middle of the building. At night that is well lit.
In contrast the front door to 5A was almost in almost complete blackness, and is not only around the corner
out of sight BUT is
further recessedIt is the last front door and no-one passed by as it is a dead end.Furthermore immediately opposite 5A across the street, Rua dr Francisco G M., is the balcony where I think someone was looking out, watching the comings and goings. Someone who signalled the all clear with a fine beamed pencil torch, or even by flicking his lighter on to the actual abductor, Tannerman. IMO, Tannerman + lifter were very probably outside the apartment hiding in the trees watching for the go ahead signal.
This balcony is less than 18 metres from the trees and front door area of 5A. In 2007 there used to be a gap in the trees of about a metre or so by the front door area ... just right for a narrow beam of light to come thru.
Immediately the signal (as Gerry left via the bottom gate and went towards the restaurant,) they opened the front door using a key. The lifter went in, did the lifting and drugging, walked out ... passed Madeleine to Tannerman and left, probably to return to the Staff quarters on Rua D'Escola.
Meanwhile Tannerman with Madeleine paused a while in the dark of the trees, then when the getaway car didn't appear immediately, he started walking to Jane Tanner Corner ... and was shocked to see JT there. He carried on walking keeping his head turned a little away from Jane.
Meanwhile the pick up watcher / driver had taken fright and scarpered in the vehicle down Rua Dr Francisco G M. leaving Tannerman literally holding- the- baby
Only my thoughts, BUT it all fits in very easily. Even to the fag ends found on the balcony and to Gerry thinking they stood on the east side of the road. What made them retreat to the west side of the road ?
Was it the pick up van looking as tho it was coming up the road ... so they had to get off the roadway ?
Dunno, but it all fits perfectly ... and other things too, not yet mentioned
Personally I dont think the grey car had anything to do with it.
The staff member Rob mentioned would not be able to seea grey car in the parking lot of block 5 as they drove out of block 6. The wall is far too high. As they drove round the corner past 5A, the wall was still pretty high and that end of the car park was in near darkness because of the heads of the trees, i believe, In order to see any car she would have had to look into the blackness at right angles to the way they were moving.
Most people look in the direction of light and in the way that they are moving. They dont sight- see after dark, as a rule, if there is almost no light.
I think that grey car must either have been in the next block along [block ?4]
OR
parked in Rua Dr Francisco G M. opposite the exit from block 6 car park ... as you suggested, Rob
