It was Amaral's opinion MM was dead.  But there is no proof.  So his opinion is not fact.

rob can you grasp that the daily mail  put  a  headline saying that maddie is  dead??  and they are  talking about  amarals   opinion i dont think you   realise how big that  is
We'll change the last word shall we?
Fresh anguish for Madeleine McCann's parents as Portugal's supreme court insists they haven't been proved innocent over their daughter's death
Fresh anguish for Madeleine McCann's parents as Portugal's supreme court insists they haven't been proved innocent over their daughter's toothache.
Fresh anguish for Madeleine McCann's parents as Portugal's supreme court insists they haven't been proved innocent over their daughter's bleeding nose.

neither is the abduction .
I get it alright, from the Mccann's POV if they didn't do it the only other logical reason is an abduction.

This is NOT what The Daily Mail Headline says.

Please desist now in saying that this is a fact.

Maybe to be accurate they should have put "Fresh anguish for Madeleine McCann's parents as Portugal's supreme court insists they haven't been proved innocent over their daughter's possible death"
or "Fresh anguish for Madeleine McCann's parents as Portugal's supreme court insists they haven't been proved innocent over their daughter's claimed death"

Maybe you should apply to DM to be a headline writer

I could save them some money that they won't need to donate to the McCann Fund.

Just to summarise, though the DM have said Death, the judgement doesn't appear to have mentioned it.
“Reasoning will never make a Man correct an ill Opinion, which by Reasoning he never acquired”.
