In regard to the fund used to pay his legal expenses, I believe it said on his site, any excess would go to charity.

No, I won't bother. I don't tend to worry over about how other people spend their money.
Once someone earns  or is given money, then it is their business how it is spent.
Surely all the money in his legal fund will be excess.
