So you agree that OG have not investigated the parents then.

I do, beyond the scoping exercise will have reviewed all information from the shelved enquiry and satisfied itself that information (in the shelved enquiry) was sufficient to establish the point that the McCanns had/have no case to answer.

But there is evidence she walked out to the street and was lifted.
I suppose you mean the tracker dogs
Then why are SY talking about an abduction
More unreliable dog evidence perhaps

Should that not be Rowley was asked if the McCanns were interviewed as SUSPECTS, not whether they were interviewed.  A subtle difference MTI.

My reading of that question and answer was that the McCanns had been interviewed but as witnesses rather than as suspects.

Point taken I graciously. I was just answering the exact question of Davel. re the word 'interview'.

Correction- They were not interviewed as suspects in abducting their daughter from the apartment- which is what their remit is.

No there isn't.

Joao Carlos ruled out 'woke and wandered' and the PJ and Scotland Yard are investigating abduction from the apartment.

You do not know what the PJ are investigating. unlesss you care to share your insightful, insider knowledge?

Panaorama the now top PJ officer (whose name escapes me) has confirmed that they are not investigating the McCanns.

Sutton said he disagreed with Asst Com Rowley's assessment. He said inconsistencies in some of Kate and Gerry's statements, Kate's 2011 book madeleine and also some of the witness accounts of the Tapas 7 disturbed him.

That's his opinion to which he is entitled but it doesn't mean his opinion is in any way shape or form relevant to the investigation.

The use of the term 'abductor' should be qualified by caveat.

Increasingly, some posters have taken to using the 'abductor' term as if it was a foregone conclusion.  This is not the case.

The information currently within the public domain is that all options are open in respect of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Posters should give careful consideration to the comments they post and not use terminology such as 'the abductor' or 'the killer' etc without providing an appropriate caveat.

Terms such as 'if there was an abductor' or 'in my view there was an abductor' are perfectly acceptable.

Please note that I have added a new opening post in order to save Stephen any more grief.

They most definitely found her scent which is more than SY have done in 10 years and £11 million later.

As Maddie  had been in and out of the apartment all week its not surprising they found her scent
Whether relates to Woke and wandered requires a caveat

I believe the dogs will follow the strongest scent given to them ... could there have been a stronger scent than Madeleine's on the object they were given to sniff?
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Thank you for that MTI.

Just to clarify, here is the exact exchange:

Rowley's response to the direct question, "Did you formally interview the McCann’s under
caution, ever consider them as suspects?"

Q: One of the biggest criticisms of the Portuguese investigation, which they acknowledge as well, is
that they did not interrogate the parents from the start, if only to eliminate them. When you started
your investigation, you appear to have done the same. Did you formally interview the McCann’s under
caution, ever consider them as suspects?
MR: So when we started, we started five or so years into this and there is already a lot of ground
been covered, we don’t cover the same ground, what we do is pull all the material we had at the start,
all the Portuguese material, private detective material, with all the work that had been done, what that
evidence supports, what rules these lines of enquiry out, what keeps them open and you progress
forward. It would be no different if there were a cold case in London, a missing person from 1990, we
would go back to square one look at all the material and if the material was convincing it ruled out that
line of enquiry we would look somewhere else. So you reflect on the original material, you challenge
it, don’t take it at face value. You don’t restart an investigation pretending it doesn’t exist and do all
the same enquiries again that is not constructive.

Q: The first detective in charge of the case said he was going right back to the start of the case and
accepting nothing. It seems very much he was suggesting that it was going to be a brand new
investigation.
MR: It’s a brand new investigation, you are going in with an open mind. You are not ignoring the
evidence in front of you. That would be a bizarre conclusion. You would look at that material, what
does it prove, what it doesn’t. What hypothesis does it open what does it close down and you work
your way through the case.

Q: Just to be clear you did not interview the McCanns as potential suspects?
MR: No
