I certainly don't think the PJ are afraid of the McCanns. I think that they are giving them no room to cry foul if charges are ever brought.

Look at how the couple made hay with the alleged leaks during the first investigation.

Made Hay?  This comment doesn't even remotely relate to how The McCanns dealt with the lies that were leaked.

the clue is in...using amarals standard of proof...do you understnd what that means

I understand what you mean, but some simply don't want to understand.  Unfortunately, Amaral's brand of evidence, proof even, has convicted some in the past.

I understand it fully.

So it's back to you - go prove it.

Davel doesn't have to prove anything.

I doubt you do understand  the words I have used in the context of this board..
So it's my opinion.... Therefore it's proven

Using the amaral model of proof it's possible to prove just about anything... Ignore all expert opinion... Promote your own I'll informed opinion as fact... And there you have it

Fortunately, The PJ and The Judiciary had begun to suss this.

Sad to say that the disappearance of Madeleine has done wonders for Portugal and it's decidedly suspect Justice System at that time.

No, not in my opinion.  Or are you saying that The McCanns didn't have to cope with lies, lies that they were in no position to refute at the time.  And even welcomed these lies?  Gosh, what fun they must have been having.

Then perhaps he would desist from claiming that he can. Or that he has!

It's lowering the credibility of the forum. IMO, of course.

Then perhaps posters could stop suggesting that amaral can prove maddie died in the apartment... It afffects the credibility of some posters

No position to refute ? They paid £500,000 to have their opinion on the front page of every paper. Half a million buys a whole lot of refuting.

Does that mean what it meant in 2007, or do the words have a new meaning in 2017?

Well someone is! Why would he have been paid for by the McCann's?

ALEX WOOLFALL (Bell-Pottinger Group - engaged by Wark Warner)

Within two days after Madeleine’s disappearance, the holiday firm Mark Warner had sent a crisis management team to Portugal. It included Alex Woolfall from Bell Pottinger, the public relations company. Alex Woolfall is Head of Issues and Crisis Management for the Bell Pottinger Group. Woolfall, who has 20 years experience in PR, spent the next two weeks advising the family on how to keep the media interested. http://miscarriageofjustice.co/index.php?topic=6114.msg224734#msg224734

Before dignifying this claim with any semblence of the "the trust" - could you just provide the entry from the leverson enquiry, and a note of where the fund made a payment of £500K?

Given the fund is audited by a very reputable firm, it should be easy to identify that very considerable sum.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....
