But was Amaral a Poisonous Liar?  Personally, I think that description is a bit over the top, but he was definitely a bit of a Fibber.

I don't know why, but I doubt that it was anything to do with his Honour, unless he feels that The PJ treated him badly, despite not sacking him when he was convicted of Perjury.

So is Amaral's main gripe against The PJ and not The McCanns at all?

I am sorry Eleanor, but he has shown himself to be a liar.  He is a convicted perjurer FGS.

And look at the so called evidence in the Joana case.  There is none IMO, yet it comes from him that

1)  Leonor and Joao were having top level hanky panky when Joana saw them so they killed her
2)  Leonor threw herself down the stairs when IMO it was untrue
3)  Joanas blood was in the fridge, when it was never tested and could even have been pigs blood
4)  Joanas body was chopped up into small pieces, and fed to the pigs.  No evidence of that

Amaral was convicted in 2009, wasn't he? He had already retired from the PJ by then.

He was certainly displeased with the PJ who wouldn't allow him to defend himself publicly in 2007. In my opinion that's why he decided to retire and put his story into book form.

You asked me for a cite that I have given a million times before which confirmed the veracity of my post, hence my exasperation .  You will be unable to provide a cite to prove the veracity of yours, so you are not entitled to FGS me.  8(>((

Really? I know you post a lot, but not as much as that.

It doesn't come from him.

What does a forensic archaeologist look for?
What would cadaver dogs be used for.
Why would officers be lifting up manhole covers then using micro-cameras attached to fibre optic cables.

I agree it would seem on the face of it that they were looking for a body, just as, on the face of it, it would seem that The Met are looking for a stranger in connection with Madeleine’s abduction.  If you can accept one, why not the other?

One can have one,but as to one is entitled is a different matter.

I am, and so apparently was Amaral.  I don't know if you think you aren't.

Perjury isn't very nice.  Especially coming from a serving Police Officer.  And it is against The Law.

Strange.  Today we remember those who fought for our freedoms, including the right to hold an opinion, whatever it may be.  We are all entitled to one, even you, so why argue otherwise?

Perhaps you didn't lose your childhood or your mother, and effectively your father as well.  I am entitled to what they gave up for me.

Strangely enough, I am not a great believer in Free Speech.  My generation didn't need it, and are all too well aware of how much damage it can do thoughtlessly.

Hardly.  Most of the people who lost their lives were very working class.
