A thorough investigation and an overlooked hidden dungeon would not seem to go hand-in-hand.

I can't be certain the perp abducted MM to raise as his/her own.  The motive may have been to carry out some assault and then dispose of but I think (and hope) it is the former.  The other possibility is that the perp may have intended to raise as own but given all the media attention may have panicked and did something they did not intend to do.  Another possibility is the perp abducted MM with some misguided idea about teaching the McCanns a lesson for leaving the children alone in an unlocked apartment and intended to return MM but again felt unable to do so given the media attention and may have done something they did not intend to do.

On a scale of 1 -10:

How sure am I my theory is correct : 9
How sure am I that I've identified perp(s) : 9
How sure am I about motive to raise as own at time of abduction : 8
How sure am I MM is alive and with perp(s) : 8
A thorough investigation it may well be, but I’m asking if that would satisfy you or whether you would assume that because they didn’t find Madeleine that it wasn’t thorough enough.

If such an instinct is proved to exist be sure to let me know.

I think it can be proved its why women and men undertake physically and mentally grueling attempts at fertility treatment as described in KM's book.  Its why same sex couples such as Elton John and David Furnish turn to surrogacy.  Its why the likes of my adoptive parents adopted me.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Yes because I sent the info to the 'Find Madeleine' site which at some stage I feel certain KM will pick up on and she will leave no stone unturned in her quest to find MM.

Info that's in the public domain.  I do not have access to info that is not in the public domain.
what, like social media, linkedin etc?

A small amount of social media along with other more old school info in the public domain.

It is definitely in animals so why not in humans?
OK its not perfect.  Maybe it was when the animals lived in their natural environment.

Upon giving birth, perhaps. Few animals are keen on another's offspring (including me lol).

I know what you mean.  Cows will steal calves from other cows prior to giving birth to their own.  Dogs can be particularly odd and will even mother the offspring of other species.  I'm not sure how it works in humans.  Most abide by the law and adopt pets in the end.

Humans tend to train females for motherhood, so there's societal pressure. The birth rate is falling in Western countries, which suggests females don't always have an overriding need to breed now they have choices. I find the idea of taking on someone else's 3 year old horrific, to be honest. Especially one who was going to want to go home.

I'm talking through a hole in my head.  I find the topic of instinct very interesting but I have no idea really how it actually works.

I believe the real reason for Elton and David's surrogacy was neither of them had a w..b.  kinda need one of em for babies.

Instinct. I do believe in humans having a 6th sence. we lose it if we don't tune into it.  I know when any of my children are having a difficult day or are upset before they come home from school! thoughts about my child would be in my head and I would get a sad feeling for no reason. And they all have a cheerie disposition so it isn't an every day occurance.

I do believe in mothers instinct- not all mothers are aware of it. this can be due to conception/difficult pregnancy/pre/postnatal depression to name a few.  Some mothers hate their offsprings or have favorites.

If you get to the stage where you steal someone else's child you need help. That's nothing to do with a mothering instinct.

Well of course other aspects of envy, jealousy, maybe even greed could  contribute to the criminality of the situation.  If it was truly instinctive to do this they could hardly make it illegal can they.

Indeed!  that is a diferent issue. comminting a crime to procure a child has nothing to do with mothers instinct in that situation. As the person stealing the child would have no mother instinct due to the fact she is not the mother and there is no instinctive bond.
