Scotland would be a basket case bankrupt Republic if England hadn't bailed it out but if that's the road Scots want to go then bring it on.  I'm sure the rest of us will survive without whiskey and haggis.  When Scots have to apply for a work permit to work down here then maybe the penny will drop?

A little reminder while I'm on.  Only 45% of the Scots electorate voted remain, hardly an endorsement for the SNP.

Back to Boris before I'm accused of going off topic. He appears to have wooed the north of England now which was until recently a Labour heartland. I have a feeling he is on to a winner and will take the country out of the EU deal or no deal. Personally I prefer the latter approach.

I don't think the supplies of whisky and haggis or even shortbread or irn bru will ever be affected by independence.
If Scots ever have to apply for a work permit to work in England, the NHS will lose a great number of very qualified and experienced doctors and nurses. ( I do hope they then return to Scotland)

Seems there are more Scots living and working in England than live in any city in Scotland. It might sound surprising, but according to the latest census figures, there are about 750,000 people born in Scotland who live south of the border. That's more than the population of Edinburgh or Glasgow. I really don't know what would happen to them if Scotland became independent, Scotland certainly has no jobs for them and as it stands, they have no vote hence no say in their own future.

Absolutely no Scots voted to remain in the EU- there has been no such vote.  The majority of those who did vote regarding independence voted to stay in the UK. End of full stop! The SNP has yet to come up with an argument,not a slagging we hate english cr@p, but a proper debate. giving actual figures about how we would be better off. How we would receive and deliver  goods- going around England?- if they chose to close their border.

The oil belongs to the oil companies - just thought I would mention that. The SNP are not investing any money into the economy for industry or NHS or decent  affordable housing. Many young Scots seeking places to become doctors have been refused on the basis that it costs too much to train them!  i tis cheaper to being in from abroad. And did you know the SNP are shelling out over 40million to pay for EU students to study here for their degree?  This country is a shambles and nothing to be 'proud of' as I see it.

 Paying millions out on housing and feeding two fat pandas in a luxury cage. not to mention the staff to attend to them, and shelling out millions to 'foreign investors' to buy Scottish land and recieve thousands of pounds  to 'plant trees' . when the Scottish people struggle to find decent housing and some forced to beg at food banks. A total disgrace!  They tax the poor to give to the rich!  yes you better believe it.
