Still nothing to suggest from either investigation, Amaral was wrong, the PJ are open minded to what happened unlike like the blinkered Brits.

May 2017
Martin Brunt:Do you accept the girl was abducted.

Pedro Do Carmo:We don't know what happened and have to be prepared to deal with different scenarios.

I'm not really sure what your point is?   PDC saying we have to deal with different scenarios means just that.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

The job he'd retired from, you mean?

Oh yes of course, I was forgetting GA was found guilty in 2009.  I was thinking it was shortly after the trial of JC's mother/uncle.

Wrongdoing/miscarriages of justice often take years to uncover.  Think Hillsborough and other long running miscarriages of justice.

Yet nothing from either investigation as gone on to show he was wrong,go figure.

Neither investigation regards the McCanns as suspects..all the evidence amaral based his theory on has been discredited

Goodness me!... You aren't half a sourpuss, whether it's this or your endless Brexit sour grapes.  You need to lighten up.
I am as light as a feather and none of my posts is remotely sour, I simply made an observation.  But thanks for proving my point.

It means unlike OG they have an open mind and abduction is just but one scenario.

I thought you knew, being as you were commenting. How do you think the PJ could sack somone who no longer worked for them?

I think Mark Rowley said similar.

I'm all for free speech but this really takes the biscuit...GA is convicted of falsifying evidence over the case of JC.  In the interim he is lead detective in the case of MM which contains similar features to the JC case.   He was then removed from MM's case by the Portugese authorities but goes on to write a book for commercial gain about MM's case that he was involved in as a public servant!

For the first time I'm beginning to understand KM's animosity towards this man!

A tampered crime scene is not evidence of abduction. The only possible evidence of abduction were two sightings of a man carrying a young child. One has been eliminated.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Public assistance is not being sought by OG for the other one.

I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

OG have been pushed out by the Germans who have reserved all the deck chairs for the foreseeable future
