Holly started this thread with the intention of generating a discussion to drive improvement on the board. I tried to get the ball rolling by suggesting one great improvement might be for members to post On Topic whichever thread they might be on.  A positive suggestion and open for discussion I thought, but there you go.

I've done my bit so have you any positive suggestions to make about how to improve the board ... or are you content with it as is?

Some mods on this particular board are above the rules as has been evidenced. Not banned fpr name calling.  McCann bashing  as a slur on free indepemdanyt thinkers is pathetic and    should be put on that long list of banned words.

But I can confirm they were simply unpalatable to one or two.

The problem with 'power', such as it is, is that it needs to be legitimate and seen to be used legitimately; otherwise you organically and naturally foster dissent.

Its very simple, anything offered as an opinion should be accompanied by an "IMO" at some stage so as to distinguish it from an accepted fact.
