It's more acceptable than the post I quoted. My point is that such posts are allowed to stand. Just to illustrate further how long will this post be allowed to stand?

Gerry McCann is an arsehole.

This sort of comment isn't worth the time of day.  Let alone deleting.

A 'ta ta' is a derogatory term used to describe an imbecile. Just saying.

Nonsense.

Yeah well my grandparents said it, it it was in widespread use across the UK in wartime, “ta ta for now”.  Anyway, this is tiresome, I certainly have never heard of ta ta as an insult.  I think the General has just made that up, for some mad reason.

TOPIC please. Or something which will pass for topic.    TY
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

What do the T T in “TTFN” stand for?
Military term originally, old chap.
Further coined by Sir Kenneth Arthur Dodd, famous Liverpudlian.
Totally different phrase.

But military greetings would be a great addition to the forum.

Tourist Trophy. Which is somewhat ironic when you think about it.

But I reckon the introduction of obscure acronyms may be a useful addition to the forum.
