OK now I see a bit clearer. JB supporters could be claiming Junes family could have set up Jeremy for the inheritance which they thought more rightfully theirs? Hmm plausible argument- until JB blames Sheila and not his Flunky uncle and co.

Well, in the simple event of a wealthy couple being childless, their wealth, when they die, is likely to be divided amongst the wider family. Enter adopted children and those financial hopes get blown out of the window.

Well, regarding the cousins Ann and David, there were age gaps so large that they were generational. There was never likely to be close bonding there. (According to my friend, who knew the Bambers well, whilst all the other mothers would share stories about their children, June never did. I recall my friend saying, with the benefit of hindsight, that she now wonders if June thought they were all to lenient with their children. June have very high standards. Mybe she believed adopted children should behave better than others?)

The cousins had fewer advantages than their Bamber counterparts. State schools, state college, and back to work on the farm. Perhaps RWB thought their rewards would come later. But for the Bamber children, the heir not having the least interest in working the family business, only milking it.

Interesting about RWB 's feelings towards Jeremy. I was aware of animosity within the wider family, but had thought it was the cousins versus Jeremy. Also interesting that Pamela seems to have kept out of it all.

It's rarely about how the children feel. Their opinions are rarely asked. it's always about how others perceive them. ie They're so lucky. They've had everything. Look at all the money they've had thrown at them
