Stealing sweets and killing 5 people for inheritance and blaming one of the victims is just a tad different. Bamber won't admit to the crime because he would have to admit to being a child killer. He has no choice about doing the time, his choice is in taking responsibility or not. The evidence is the cold and callous nature of his crime and his continued denial.

And yes I know Trump hasn't killed anyone but the article is interesting and explains how in the US it is against the law for a psychiatrist to provide a diagnosis without actually meeting the individual.

Like I said, not all psychopaths are killers.

I don't think his killing spree is evidence of him being a psychopath. He did kill in cold blood because he wanted to and may have enjoyed doing it, but that can be put down to a 'single incident'  where as, do we believe he would become a serial killer in the public domain had he been set free?  No one knows and predicting is not a science.

He is enjoying his manipulation and adulation he has acquired- all swings and roundabouts.  He knows he is guilty- he just doesn't want to be punished for it.  That was the reason I mentioned the child with sweets.

It could do.  If you can stealas a child  without conscience or remorse then it could be a sign of the psychopathy to come.

I can imagine the loose end Julie having an "accident".. He might wait for his granny's inheritance but not if he got a chance to turn off her life support!

Once he had burned through the inheritance he would go after rich widows, making them take out life insurance policies and then drowning them in the bath until plod caught up with him.

But the prison psychiatrist interviewed Jeremy over many sessions when he was on remand, and that’s how he came to his conclusion that “Jeremy Bamber is an irreverent liar; a psychopath; and I believe 100% he’s guilty”

Likewise, the psychiatrist JB’s defence team employed to assess him gave the same diagnosis after seeing him (how many times I don’t know) He certified that Jeremy Bamber was a psychopath: and that’s why the defence didn’t produce it in court.
