No reason for BKA to visit Portugal.  If the evidence is compelling PJ can carry out searches and/or carry out any other work on the ground.  Would UK Home Office allow another country's law enforcement to start carrying out searches etc on the ground in UK?  Would Germany allow PJ to carry out searches etc in Germany?

I'm happy to leave the decisions to the Germans... I see no reason to doubt their credibility.

Its not up to the Germans to decide if they want to enter another country to investigate.

You STILL don’t get it re the video do you?  If I could draw you a picture I would.  Yes I do mean the two criminal dodgy geezers who claimi they saw a video, a video they told the police about which (if their testimony was false) quite incredibly matched the evidence given by a rape victim years earlier and in whose bed (even more incredibly) was found a hair which matched the person the dodgy lying criminals claim they saw raping someone in the video.  What are the chances of that eh??

OK.  Let’s say the videos never existed.  Let’s say thr two dodgy crim associates made the whole thing up.  Now explain how their testimony matched that of the rape victim who they didn’t know had been raped years esrlier. Then explain how the hair of the man they fingered was left in the victim’s bed.

I am still thinking in terms of Mute of Malice.  This can be determined by a Court if a Defendant refuses to Plead or speak and does affect how a Court might rule.

There is a term for this in German Law.

I don't know whether it would be considered in this case but it almost certainly won't help him.
