If there had been an intruder in the house the first thing any normal person would have done was to rouse their partner quietly in a whisper.  Pistorius made no attempt whatsoever to interact with Reeva whom he claimed he thought was still in bed.  Reminds me of Jeremy Bamber and the fateful telephone call from daddy which never existed. Not only that but he's now trying to shift blame onto the police for interfering with the crime scene. Things I'm not too happy about are the earlier references in previous sessions to police moving the cricket bat in the bathroom, spreading the duvet on the floor, drawing open the curtains and shutters before photographs of the scene were taken. Or the veiled accusation that a light-fingered copper had lifted a couple of OP's wristw..ches.

With reference to Jeremy Bamber, what strikes me though is the similar way Pistorius has moved the terrible memory of what he had to done to the back of his mind from where it has dropped off as if it never existed at all.

The usual excuse that he can’t remember and/or the police moved everything in the room. There wasn’t time to think
                     He said she didn’t scream and if she was screaming he wouldn’t have heard her, because his ears were ringing from the first shot.
                    He also said he told her (quietly, because he didn’t want the intruder to hear) to go down and call the police because he said, he thought she was in bed. He then said he ran down the hall shouting and screaming?.
                   Its pitch dark in the bedroom when the curtains are closed, he says. Then said he could see the outline of the Jeans/duvet by a little light on his amplifier ,  which he said he had covered with jeans,
                 Her Jeans were on top of duvet on the floor, which means the duvet wasn’t on the bed when he left the room because he removed the jeans to expose the little Led light so he could see enough to get out
 but he couldn’t see his partner?
 He found his gun OK in the dark!
He was in a right muddle today

In fact so am I! The above doesn’t make sense at all does it?

 I didn't watch the trial at first because it was pretty gruesome and that lad looks so normal, but I have found that no normal person could have done what he has done.
Reeva's family are closer to it all than we are, so I trust their judgement. Unfortunately there is no punishment to match the suffering that Reeva must have gone through, so there is no way that she or her family are going to get the Justice deserved for such a brutal crime.

Just been catching up on some footage from the trial.  Pistorius at one stage in his cross examination last week responded to Nel that his memory wasn't very good at the moment.     I suppose that's one excuse for the inconsistencies in his responses.

I think Oscar will be convicted of premeditated murder and get a very long, effectively a life sentence. I cannot believe the judge will be swayed by Oscar's tears which are all for himself!

All the videos are posted above Andi or on you tube. Gerrie Nel the prosecutor is very good .... perhaps even better than Juan Martinez. Try and catch last thurs/fri if you can .... riveting stuff!

OP deserves no sympathy for putting the Steenkamp's through this trial! If he had admitted killing Reeva in a split second fit of anger, he would have deserved less of a sentence than a planned murder like Dewani's. But now he has gone to trial with this ridiculous story he should get the maximum sentence! (imo)

He has lost his temper & shot his girlfriend dead & his world is now on the brink of total ruin.

Not like you Tim, being so regular with the imo's.. LOL !   Mind you .. you've got to watch your back online these days.

I don't know if victim impact statements are allowed yet in South African Courts (although usually only after the sentence has been set) so I guess talking to the Mail was one outlet for the family to try and influence the result, but hope it doesn't have the opposite effect and bias the judge's opinion in OP's favour if she hears/reads about it.

Wonder if OP will cough next week and surprise us all, or dig a deeper hole for himself ?
