With the mental battering he received at the beginning, along with the trauma of the whole thing his memory is unlikely to be good atm.  My bet is that his mind will not stop racing and whirling.

That battering onslaught at the beginning of the cross examinationwas disgraceful; it was used to demean, belittle and totally undermine him before he had started.

If Justice cant be served without such deliberate undermining by the prosecution, then what is the point of so called Justice.  Cos it aint true

Sadie fancies Oscar! That is the only reason I can imagine for someone mollycoddling an admitted killer who used some of the most vile ammunition in the world!

Don't you get it Sadie? Even if OP's story is true (as if!) he is still guilty of negligent homicide at the very least. The burglar could have been an unarmed young child for all he knew. Pistorius deserves a long prison sentence even if you believe his preposterous concoction to try and explain murdering Reeva in a fit of anger!

I bet you would have a kind word for Myra too!

Sorry to disappoint you Tim.  Nothing about him appeals especially.

I appreciate what you are saying, but in my book, everyone deserves a fair trial.  And thta trial was marred at the very beginning of the prosection cross examination.  Sheer bullying designed to reduce him, and upset him so much that he couldn't think straight.

No-one would be able to think straight after such bullying and after the trauma of what happened.

It may well be that he is guilty of all charges and if so then he should get his just punishment .... but I defend to the end, everybodies right to a fair trial and that wasn't. imo.  At the very beginning OP was reduced by very dubious bullying means to a gibbering wreck.

According to my hubby who also thought it alright, some others felt the same as me.  Altho he does at times express some concerns

I dont expect anyone to agree with me, but I had to express my horror at what happened.

Sadie, Oscar has been a 'gibbering wreck' throughout the trial; long before he took the stand and throughout his evidence in chief infront of his own council. Many people, myself included, think this is a complete sham.

I do believe Pistorius is mortified and indeed sorry for killing Reeva in a fit of anger. I also believe he is playing up for the court's sympathy. Remember he said on the stand he considers every word he says because quote "his life is on the line".  The same consideration is given to his emotional outbursts in my opinion.

There are reports in the SA press that Pistorius has been taking acting lessons prior to his trial. If true, I am not surprised in the slightest! This is a calculating man trying to get away with murder.

The problem with having to tell so many lies is that you can't stop little bits of the truth from coming out.

There is after all only one truth, not to hard to remember, as opposed to many lies which are very difficult to remember...... >@@(*&)

Trial starts again on monday .... 5th. I bet the remaining defence 'experts' due to testify are swotting up big time and dreading their cross examination by Gerrie 'death' Nel!

Let's hope it's not too protracted and justice for Reeva comes soon!

So unprofessional ..... after a 2 week break not to have witnesses ready and waste a half day of court!

I do not see how these two witnesses helped the defence in the slightest. They seemed honest enough although very pro Oscar but their testimony wasn't relevant to guilt or innocence in any way I could determine!
