I?ve already made that observation.  But in fact it?s only one member of the Smith family you trust.  The one whose memory suddenly improved 4 months after the event.

They didn't get a great look at him but Aoife did notice the trousers with buttons down the legs. A trouser design which Gerry was later photographed wearing. Just a coincidence though. Nothing to see here.

Yes, about 5 minutes.  But unless he dropped the body the second he passed them he would have had to spend further minute(s) walking in the opposite direction to the Tapas restaurant to find this mythical bin he dumped the body in, then back again.  Do the maths.  The whole operation from the time of the alarm, including collecting the body from it?s first resting place in the mythical bush or hidehole it was stuffed in would have to be a minimum 10 minutes.  The Smiths all say they saw the man no later than 10pm.  Not one of them says it was after 10 o?clock.  There is also a receipt from the last bar they left which shows they paid at 9.49pm, so would have left within minutes of that.  The sighting was just a minute or two up from the bar.

So let me see, you think Breuckner snatched Maddie around 9.45ish, and bundled her into his van near by and sped off? And that the Smithman sighting was another red herring like the Tanner one at 9.15? But the man and child have never been tracked down or come forward?

It?s certainly not impossible when you choose to disregard all the evidence which goes contra to you theory, no.  I don?t suppose many children were snatched from their baths in Tyneside either before or since it happened the one time either, so your last point is moot.

It was chaos. Most of the guests were probably confused by the hysterical woman's behaviour. But anyway,  Smithman was just innocent dad who resembled Gerry, wore trousers like his, had a daughter closely resembling Madeleine & has never come forward. Is that what you believe? Does it seem likely to You?

Personally I think Smithman could have been an innocent father collecting his child from the creche who never came forward (or possibly DID notify the police but as with Totman, they never logged it) or he could be involved in Madeleine?s abduction.  He could be an accomplice, or he could be a lone abductor, but I think it?s more likely that anyone planning on taking a child would choose a method of removal that include a vehicle of some sort, parked nearby.  I think the abduction took place after 9.30pm and before 10pm, yes.

Far more likely than the theory that Madeleine was murdered by her parents, and all their mates covered up for them, with Dad moving the body not once but twiice, choosing to carry her dead body uncovered through the busiest part of town AFTER the alarm was raised, yes.

No it sounds like nonsense so it can't be true. The simplest explanation is more likely, that it was Gerry. Hence, Bury the e-fits, lawyer up & put all the focus on the Tanner sighting.
