The investigation stopped not long after the McCanns returned home & all their very honourable friends flatly refused to return to Portugal for a reconstruction. The Smith sighting was never resolved. The Attorney General in his archiving summary accepted that Gerry was at the tapas at the time of the Smith sighting. Why? Because they couldn't disprove 'around 10pm'. But as I explained, around 10pm is an estimate.

They have said they have dealt with the MET but we'll never get to hear their full testimony. At the time of the release of those pesky e-fits, that the McCanns didn't like, the Smith family spoke to the press & said they have been interviewed. If you watch Crimewatch, you'll see there is an absolute money shot of Maddie wearing the long sleeve pyjamas that the McCanns insist she wasn't wearing. So, the police must believe in the possibility of the Gerrylike, trousers, pyjama changing abductor.....right!?

^^this.  The PJ had all this information at their fingertips at the time, and subsequent police forces too and yet it took for Mr Wonderfulspam to solve the whole mystery.  Why is he not world famous and making youtube videos about it?  Why is he not bombarding the police on a daily basis with his button theory until they cave in, instead of concentrating all his efforts and clearly driving himself quite mad trying to convince three barmy old dears on a forum backwater?  As Toyah once sang ?ith a mythtery?!

Ameral was in the middle of the investigation into the smith sighting when he got took of the case.

you would think SY would have investigated Smith as the only remaining witness to an abduction.

Everyone who think the McCanns dunnit have different ideas about it, some believe it was Gerry before the alarm was raised, some believe it was Gerry after the alarm was raised, some believe it was a decoy employed by the McCanns to make the abduction theory more credible, no one though has gone on about the buttons quite as much as our resident WUM.  In fact I would say it?s taken 18 years for the buttons to emerge as the key piece of evidence that blows this whole case apart.  There they were, staring us in the face all this time, who?da thunk it.  I can imagine Gerry now saying to himself in his best Scooby Do villain?s voice  ?darn, if it wasn?t for those pesky buttons,,,?. Still, it?s an exciting development and just as soon as Spam has put in the call to the Met we should be hearing of the McCanns arrest and charges shortly.

I really hope the police catch the pyjama change paedo & put a stop to the spate of similar child abductions that are blighting southern Europe. Someone needs to do something about it. We can't have paedos going round disguised as little girls fathers, drugging them & changing their pyjamas. It's just not right.

It isn't enough to prove in court obviously. But it is enough to prove on the balance of probability. As I have explained. Hence the reason you can't present an abduction scenario & account for all the details without me being able to take the piss out of you.
