That is the wall to the room, level with the door? Nothing like Sadie was describing.

Look at those nice shiny floors in the apartment.

Today I would think the floors in the apartment would be tested for footprints, with three children running around barefoot there would be plenty, even one foot print on another can be proved quite easily these days.  This could have proved that Maddie was in the apartment at all times as the Twins, as long as they all added up that is.

In "Madeleine Was Here P1" Kate says she didn't want to put the light on because she didn't want to wake the children so I think it is a safe bet she didn't.
She goes on to describe the curtains blowing into the room and she could see clearly then that Madeleine was missing from her bed so I think there was light coming into the room from somewhere.

If putting the light on would wake the children then this is evidence they were very light sleepers and this is even more evidence of their reckless decision to leave them alone and to leave a door unlocked for them to wander out...

The very thought that MBM's parents left a door unlocked so that a 3 year old child could come and get them is  well ...I just can't seem to find the words... for them to then claim an abductor swanned in through a window and stole her is sheer fantasy IMO. AND in the opinion of many others.

In my opinion it was precisely what Sadie described.  It is a blank wall which blocks a view of the occupant of the bed from the doorway.
I consider it the cite you requested.

Of course the original forensic team tried to take samples from the floor.  They successfully retrieved some hairs but unfortunately they were hampered in their efforts by the presence of dragon's blood used to lift fingerprints ~ the vast number of footprints as a result of the numbers who had access to the apartment ~ cigarette ash from police smokers ~ canine hair from the police dogs.

Please note there is no suggestion that Madeleine was anywhere other than the record states throughout her short stay in Luz ... it is a meeting point Amaral and I share and there can't be many of those..

Robin should declare as to what basic theory she is operating to.

So she didn't want to wake the children - yet the door had just slammed shut.

The lights seem dim wall lights anyway, with the light shining upwards imo.

As soon as she opened the slamming door her eyes will see Madeleine's bed first before the cots. Her demonstration on youtube proves it. Not checking before closing the door is a red flag.

The first thing that Kate would see as she opened the door was the small corner of the foot of Madeleines bed; she would not see Madeleine until she stepped into the room and could see round the wall.

Before seeing Madeleine, she would see the Twins cots.  You, Robin insisted that Kate would see Madeleine (herself) before she swaw the Twins.  That is not true IMO.  Please would you amend your posts.

Thank you in anticipation

A little Girl has gone missing, why would anyone arrange the room differently?  and for what reason?

Lets try and move the cots around, it's quite easy to do this as there is only one other way the cots will fit and that's parallel with Maddie's bed and the bed under the window, so all beds are lined up next to each other.  This is a really silly idea as Maddie would have difficulty getting into her bed and Kate would have difficulty putting the Twins in their respected cots, plus the chest of drawers would have become unusable.

Unless the whole room was rearranged.

What Brietta says is absolutely valid.  The cots may have been arranged completely askew, in order that each child could see the others directly.

However, as i have pointed out, the sides opf the travel cots were extremy low and kate would have ben able to see whichever child was lying within the brown ended cot imo.

With no Madeleine in place, it is not unreasonable for the parents to have moved the cots to try and hide the fact from the twins that she was gone.

I think you are making assumptions about the position of the person opening the door.

If the shutter was up the room wouldn't have been in complete darkness.

I presume you are meaning, if the shutter was 'down''.

With the shutter in its normal closed position, there are slots within it that allow a little light to shine through.  Also a light was left on in  the sitting room.  This would shine in enough to illuminate the room and show who was in bed.

She has never admitted turning on the bedroom light.  It was all very strange that the door chose to slam at that point and was not closed already when she entered the apartment.  The very act of opening the patio door would have caused a through draft which should have closed the door.
You are wrong Angelo, soz.

For a draft, opening the patio door (or a window/door on the leeward side of the building) especially a little was necessary, of course, BUT the draft increased as the bedroom door was closing  [Venturi Effect]

Also, the bedroom door face towards the draft increased in size as the door was closing, so a larger area for the wind (force) coming thru the window to hit on

So why wasn't Kate McCann put on alert instantly that something was wrong if the shutter was up and the room was much lighter than it should have been?   According to her she only became aware of something being wrong when the door slammed.  Clearly imo she never opened the bedroom door or checked that the children were actually there.
Eyes take time to adjust when moving thru different levels, especially from light to dark

Why should any one declare their theory?
