Fair enough, though i’m not quite sure that’s what Indigo J meant.

Funny I thought that’s exactly what they meant.

Well perhaps they can explain in what way the book failed to help the search for Madeleine then.

ETA earlier he or she lamented the fact that the book did not help solve the case - who in their right minds would have expected it to?

Explain what way it helped ?

Pressure applied to Cameron by Brooks ( I believe it entailed threats to publish front pages about Theresa May for a week ) was what brought about the review. It was absolutely nothing to do with the book if that’s what you are trying to imply.

Could you define what you mean by "mostly" please?
I think it's self explanatory. However if you want a definition -  https://www.google.com/search?q=mostly+meaning&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b

How would writing a book help you find your missing daughter, apart from by raising money to fund a private investigation?

Except the book was published in 2011, since which time the investigation has been in the hands of Operation Grange , so no additional costs for  private detectives

I've read the book , I don't know why she wanted to write it , it didnt add much to the solving of the case

It probably made her feel better and added a few bob to the kitty too.

If I were to write a book in those circumstances it would be to try to find my daughter  so I expected it to be the same , I do not suspect the McCanns of killing their daughter btw

Even accidentally?

No it is not what I am trying to imply - I am asking in what way the book failed to live up to the expectations of those who expected it to help solve the case, ie: whould should have been in it that wasn’t?

The truth may have been a start. All that guff about cadaver scent only lasting 30 days. A quick google would tell you different. Do you think Mrs McCann knows how to google ?

I've read the book , I don't know why she wanted to write it , it didnt add much to the solving of the case

In my opinion it was written to finance the solving of the case at a time when no police force was making the attempt to do that.
What you have to remember is that the only people active in making the attempt to find Madeleine and the only people with an interest in solving Madeleine's case were at that time her parents.
That takes money and the best way of making that money was to write a book.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....
