We are at one on the tabloids.

Exactly.  Your opinion was influenced.  Mine wasn't as I could see what Grime was doing.

As usual you are wrong I formed an opinion after reading the files, not what the rags display.

Does he profess to being one.

He certainly seems to take full advantage in promoting his honorary degree:

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Does one have to pass any exams to get an Honorary Degree?

His reports are ambiguous and open to interpretation.  They are not written to the standard expected of a properly qualified and accredited forensic scientist.  The dog alerts are akin to the witches dunking stool!  And no doubt some here would like to see me on one  8)><(

There are few subjects which are unambiguous, especially those involving sentient beings.

Document relating to prosecution's request to deny defendant's request to suppress the canine evidence (filed November 16th 2018.)

https://www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/file/Court_Probation/06th_Judicial_District/La_Plata/Redwine/111618%20PEOPLES%20RESP%20D36A.pdf

Point 12 Cadaver dog Molly & handler Carren Corcoran....this is the same dog & handler which were deployed in the Kelly Dwyer case. The dog's alerts were contested in court & this extract from the news article is relevant to both case:-
https://eu.jsonline.com/story/news/crime/2018/10/02/kelly-dwyer-case-cadaver-dog-handler-testifies-zocco-trial/1498006002/

*snipped*

"Corcoran agreed that a bedroom is another spot where human shed is often concentrated.

She also said Molly did not train extensively with residual odor — that is, detecting odors of remains no longer present. Normally, the training involved finding actual human remains. She agreed there is no way to measure a detection dog's error rate, so she couldn't know Molly's.

For the defense, Andre Falco Jimenez, a former law enforcement K-9 handler who now runs a California-based training and consulting company, said use of video during training has revealed how frequently a handler's subtle cues drive a dog's reactions.

He suspected that may have driven Molly's alerts in the Zocco case, since it appeared the dog did not alert on any smells on her initial cursory sniffs but only after some direction.

Jimenez told jurors a dog won't detect evidence of the first phase of human decomposition, which occurs in the first 72 hours, without training on that specific odor. He said it is difficult to obtain such recently deceased bodies for training in the United States, but easier in South America, where his company does much work."

=========================================================

Even in 2013, the experts could not agree on the validity of residual scent odour detection capability in a trained cadaver dog. Fortunately in both the Redwine & Dwyer cases there was/is other compelling evidence which tends to confirm each accused is guilty.

Thank goodness for something that actually relates to the Redwine case!  Most interesting!

The first document, though written in long-winded legalese, was actually quite understandable.

The second I approached with a bit of caution.  How does one join up the fresh cadaver odour with the dog?  Import cadaver odour from South America?  Send the dogs on a working visit to South America?

Anyway, very interesting links.   *&(+(+

Where is the evidence that Eddie was trained to detect the odour of the very early stages of human decomposition?
Well?  I see noone has attempted to answer this question.  Surely it is key to support the view that he alerted to cadaver odour in Apartment  5a?

Not quite.

“Gerry McCann is a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University Hospitals of Leicester having been appointed in 2005. He is currently undertaking a full-time research fellowship funded by the National Institute of Health Research and is a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford”.

Grime says Eddie had dectected human remains from shortly after death to advanced decomposition/skeletal.
