Without knowing what was said you can't say there was motive.

As I understand it "a motive" is something attributed to the situation by a third party.
We can say there was a motive to attend the discussion at WHF as the custody of Colin's children was being discussed.

WHY? He was due to come anyway. Any discussion could have happened then, that's IF a discussion about fostering ever took place. I don't know how you do things in New Zealand, but in the main, it's not considered to be good form, here, to turn up unannounced, on someone's doorstep, when they've gone to bed.

And I'm saying that there's no way on God's earth that Colin would have left London after 10.30pm to drive to WHF, knowing they'd all be in bed. What are you suggesting he was going to do? Pull two frightened little boys from their beds and take them back to London? Oh! SILLY me! I forgot. You're claiming he decided to kill them. If Colin thought or knew that Sheila had grabbed the loaded gun, he would have had more than enough concern to drive the distance.   Whether he made it in time to save anyone's life is another story.

That is the first I've heard about Nevill moving a trailer.  Why would that be necessary?  Was this so Jeremy could drive home?

So you're suggesting that Nevill phoned Jeremy -who may not have even heard the phone rig- AND Colin -who was 2 hours drive away- but didn't call the police? Yeah! That makes sense................NOT!!!

It was Jeremy's job to move the trailer, but he didn't, so Nevill had to.
