Do you think the people using the baby monitoring service in dave's link should be prosecuted for child neglect, CPN?

Should they be involved in parenting classes and should the social services be involved?

If so, why is the baby listening service in dave's link allowed?

Now where does is it say parents should leave their children in unlocked accommodation for prolonged periods whilst they wine and dine ?
No they suggest doors are locked..does that make a difference

Having had a quick check of the link, it say that the "not going outside the hotel grounds" is for 7-12 years old, not younger

And I have posted before, that this (leaving children alone in this way) would indeed have been looked at in the UK -I worked as a Child Care Officer and both Local Authorities that I worked for would have investigated if they had been informed of such young children being left alone.   Indeed I had three sisters in care who had been removed in very similar circumstances.

As to the Pontins / Butlins situation, I cannot comment as I never had a family I was working with who did this.  Also attitudes change over years.  But to state that "the McCanns would not have been prosecuted for leaving their children" - that is a dicey one.  They may not have been prosecuted but they might well have been involved with Social Services in other ways - parenting classes, Child Protection Register etc, prosecution being very much a last resort.  But would they have been investigated if this had happened in the UK? - I am pretty sure the answer is "yes"

And as I have also said before: the reason is not the very rare occurrence of abduction, but the much more common occurrence of accidents in the home - especially in an apartment where the floors would have been made of stone

I can recall several cases of child abduction from the home but NONE of fatal accidents...can you quote any..

As far as I am concerned you are making an absolute idiot of yourself...the McCanns would not have been prosecuted for leaving their children, british couples have been doing it since the days of butlins and are still doing it now...neither have I have ever seen posts defending the action on the basis they didn't break the law so on that count you are a liar.

Policemen used to clip kids round the ear. Teachers used to beat children. Kids used to get sent down t'pit, doors used to be left unlocked without fear of theft, families used to eat together... all sorts of things we USED to do.

As I said, out will come the hypocrisy and out it came. Garnished with irrelevances and personal abuse.  Just do some reading on other threads on this topic on this board.  Queen Debunker the Mad is a prime example on this thread: http://miscarriageofjustice.co/index.php?topic=1219.0

Repeat after me, "they have not broken any laws..." I find anyone that doesn't condemn the McCanns outright for what they did to their children morally bankrupt. And you have the nerve to call us "[ censored word ]s"? unbelievable.

So people who use the baby listening service should have social services involvement and parenting classes.

Rubbish!

Why is this baby listening service in the link allowed then?

Bennett brought a private prosecution against the McCanns for 'neglect' that failed ...

You need to have a longer look because you are wrong...7 to 12 if you are not staying at the hotel

Not sure if you have noticed but the only one saying they haven't broken any laws is   YOU....you are talking to yourself...I think that says enough

The McCanns actually said, although I don't have the link, that PDL felt like a british resort from the 50's...very quiet and safe...you make a very good point in support of the McCanns
