Of course they know.

They didn't do anything criminally wrong .... so it had to be an abduction ... simple logic

Come on Anne, use those brain cells ... we all know you have got them ... but sometimes it seems you get them in a muddle, like saying what you did above.

Didn't it ever occur to you that your adored and saintly McCanns just might be lying through their teeth. They have changed their stories so often that you never know what is true and what is not.

Didn't it ever occur to you that your adored and sainted Amaral just might be lying through his teeth and that's why he's up in court for libel?

Obviously something I've missed. What baby listening service was this that the McCanns and their friends used then?

I think it's a shame that this forum tolerates these barking mad posts.

Calling someone a jealous, bitter and twisted arse, will not be tolerated on here, yet labelling a couple who have lost their little girl, as liars and murderers, without even the merest hint of evidence, is somehow acceptable.

I give up.

The McCanns are liars - that's been evidenced. I've never called them murderers and I can't recall anyone else doing so. I very much doubt that the mods/admins on here would allow such a thing to be said.

You seem to have mistaken me for someone who has any time for or even interest in most of the people on your list.  I find the pro side's attempts to rubbish Amaral (to save you the time in your response, I'll just assume that you're about to launch into another diatribe about "disgraced ex-cop prisoner beating perjurer etc.") are almost comical in their desperation. I find it particularly confusing how you seem to find any of this relevant to his policing abilities. But, of course, I'm probably failing to appreciate that the entire portuguese system is corrupt or something, aren't I?

(Doffs cap) So sorry, my mistake. I should have been aware that you place yourself and your opinions above -  Portuguese G.A., Redwood & Scotland Yard, FSS Services, Theresa May, David Cameron. Various other people ,more qualified than internet bunnies.

I can see the words but they make no sense. At no point have I claimed what you have attributed to me. Please amend or clarify.

Well, according to the "acordão" from the Lisbon appeals court dated 18 October 2010, Gonçalo Amaral's book was based on the police files and there were no lies in it. Furthermore, his conclusions were just as valid as those of the filing report, which in the end is just the opinion of the person who wrote it, taking into consideration his over 20 years experience in the PJ.

The judge, who appears to know quite well the PJ files, had to remind a witness (who doesn't hesitate to call "investigation" the crookeries of Metodo3 and Halligen) that a criminal investigation was conducted in Portugal. She had also to clarify we do not know what happened.
On the other side, irrationally opposing that reasonable statement, there's a couple who, in spite of not having been there when their child vanished, knows that what happened was an abduction.
How marvellous !

You simply do not understand simple logic do you.
You make the presumption always of the guilt of the McCanns.
But the two people who actually DO KNOW (even better than the Judge) whether they were involved or not are in fact the McCanns.

Logically then if they KNOW that they are not involved then they can know that an abduction occurred or do you think Madeleine is still wandering the streets of PDL?

There is nothing irrational as you absurdly claim about a couple stating what they know. It is simply your presumption that they are lying which is not allowing you to see the illogicality of your own statements.

This one I understand fully.

C Edwards, quite simply you are making an absolute idiot of yourself

This one is less clear.
