Not much, other than that she lived in Stratfield Saye, Berkshire before moving to Portugal.  Difficult to discern where Mrs Fenn was from...

Mrs Fenn has told friends she heard a noise as she watched television and found a man escaping through her bedroom window.

I think this from.Mrs Fenn is far more pertinent... A burglary involving an open window

Do you understand that Kate was writing a book about her personal experiences, and that for such a book to be detailed, colourful and entertaining it needs to include observations, thoughts and feelings?  Does she ONLY criticise people she comes into contact with or does she have nice words for some people too, words that you have chosen not to include in your little round up above?

Don't you know the answer?

Yes, but I was asking you.  It was rhetorical, and I certainly don’t expect you to give the correct answer therefore revealing your clear bias on the matter.

If folk get wound up by the use of "Amaral" or "book" it sounds to me as though they have low levels of tolerance.  How about focusing on post content as opposed to the odd re-arranged letter?

Is there any need for it though?

What annoys me is hypocrisy and unfairness.  Either we should all be able to take the piss out of each other and rub each other up the wrong way unhindered by mods, their arbitrary rulings and word censors, or the rules should be applied fairly and squarely to all, and on every occasion.

I think gentle P taking of non-members is fair game.  I say non-members as if we allowed members to do so it would inevitably escalate into something more than gentle P taking! To give an example I firmly believe JB is innocent but it didn't stop me posting a ditty about his plight!

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Lets just say its not exactly a life function but there again neither is posting on a forum!

In my opinion she wrote it as she saw it and as she experienced it at the time.  The whole truth as it happened and as she saw it happening and as recorded in the diary she kept.  Unfortunately the passage of time did not make her trauma any the less ... one only has to listen to the personal accounts of the parents of other missing children whose lives and that of their families have been shaped by that one single event to know the truth of that.

KM admits in her b..k that post MM's disappearance she became less judgemental of others.

That's fine as long as I don't get warning points,  Amaral it is from now on then.

Kate describes events surrounding the disappearance of a dearly loved child in her book.  I suppose it is a matter of opinion whether or not that could be described as a moment of great distress.  I know what I think and I have had a fair inkling of your thoughts on the matter for quite some time.

But she didn't need to refer to GNR/PJ as Tweedledee and Tweedledum in her b..k.  She could just as easily have said they didn't fill her with confidence; she felt they were out of their depth etc.

I completely agree. Sharing her concerns is fine, name-calling isn't. There was a similar lack of respect shown to the local priest, I recall.

Compared to how the police referred to the mccanns they have every right... Cite for local priest... That's s pretty. Serious allegation

Stratfield Saye looks like a well-off area.  From your first link, Mrs Fenn sounds like Queen's English to me.  It's interesting that Kate chose to describe her accent as plummy.

Sounds plummy to me... I live in a well off area... None of my neighbours talk like that

How close do your neighbours live to Oxford?

And what do their accents have to do with PF?  Or the label Kate chose?
