Good to see the forum running with practically no moderation

With only a couple of posters, its not hard.

I have observed an increasing tendency by some posters recently to flaunt the forum rules. There is no place for cheap remarks, sniping or goading on these boards. Do not assume that your comments go unnoticed by the admin team.

The forum rules are there to protect all users from unnecssary abuse, they should be adhered to strictly.

In my opinion one huge improvement to the board would be if members showed a little self discipline by posting only on the thread topic under discussion.

Moderators have to make requests at times.  These requests will appear to be off topic.  It is the nature of the role.

If you say so... However, many threads get taken off topic and threats are made, all the while the mods can continue with the off topic.

So we do not want ambiguity. we want off topic posts and  name calling,  goading, and inventing scurrilous personas attributed to posters to be removed instantly!  no if's no buts.

If this doesn't happen- MODs lose their integrity and respect. and there is no point in them just adding the obligatory 'keep on topic' post.

Anyway, feedback to improve the  board.  Since we have a  ' list of not nice words that cause offence. Such as the typing a different spelling of the word book.

I suggest posts which contain slurs, and in particular  'mccann bashing. mccann slag fest and other implied nasty posts from sceptics (whose crime is being an independant thinker)-as this brings the board into disrepute in my most humble opinion.  These words are passive aggresive  and are being used by supporters  and  (not allowed to say who else) to goad and shout down people when the supporters cannot face the argument or can offer no real debate. only excuses such as:

Maybe Kate didnt hear properly,
it was a typing error by PJ
lost in translation
mis interpertated
mis understood
they were stressed
they were upset
the list is long and meanigless to the many questions being asked.

Actually, wouldn't it be easier for you if Admin insisted that all members sing from exactly the same hymnbook and banned all dissent and all dissenters on sight.  I believe that is the system on some other fora.
