Yep, I know all of that, but the CT have suggested that it was a suicide note in the past.

Yes, I know you do — sorry, my grammar was poor in that post

Whatever, that certainly isn’t a suicide note, so they’re making themselves look idiotic

Sheila wasn’t suicidal, anyway

If anything, she was so, so happy at having recently found her natural mother and was also friendly with her mother’s brother. She was looking forward to the future, despite her medication and MH problems

Colin Caffell said Sheila was like a different person when with her natural mother and I wonder if much of her problems were due to June’s overbearing personality.

She was also unhappy with Jeremy and actually refused to speak to him on the phone just days before, so except for Nevill who Sheila adored I suspect many of her problems were caused by June and possibly Jeremy. He may well have given her drugs too..he grew them illegally, and would’ve known they were harmful to her

But that aside, she clearly wasn’t depressed or suicidal. She’d worn make-up that very day which depressed people never do; her nails were beautifully manicured; she ate her dinner; put the boys to bed as normal — leaving them orange juice on their bedside table

She had her cosmetics out on the bed next to hers, had bought the twins new jeans that very day, bought tampons as her period had just started...

All of those things added together shows she wasn’t one iota suicidal.

Seeking Justice for June & Nevill Bamber, Sheila Caffell & her two six-year-old twin boys who were shot dead in their heads by Psychopath, JEREMY BAMBER who must NEVER be released.

I'm afraid we differ here regarding Sheila's mental state. I believe she was depressed. I agree that she'd been overjoyed to meet Christine, in whom she may have believed she'd found a kindred spirit/mirror image? I agree that her natural vivacity would have been crushed by June's uncompromising values and I can't help but feel that her initial euphoria at meeting Christine would have quickly dissipated if she hadn't received a speedy follow up, perhaps in the form of an invitation for her to visit. She may possibly have felt that there was no escape from June.

The picture you paint of her is very different from that which CAL paints of her during her last fortnight. CAL has her, as do I, as being seriously depressed. She'd certainly made an effort for the party, but from her behaviour there it was almost as if the effort of doing so had sucked the life out of her. Colin says she was totally silent on the journey to WHF. She was listless and lethargic -we have June's testimony for it- during her stay. Killing require huge mental energy. Because I believe her to have been depressed, I believe she'd have lacked the energy necessary for it.

There is a massive difference between depressed and suicidal though Jane. I think she was depressed but mainly due to her meds and feeling tired all of the time - which is a side effect of Haloperidol. Much of the way she was was due to her medication - the injections are stronger than the pills - possibly due to the slow release aspect.

As her meeting with, and subsequent parting from, Christine, roughly coincided with the start of her Haloperidol by injection programme, we'll never have a definitive answer. Whichever the case, depression doesn't automatically lead to suicide.

I have read previously that there were no plans made for her to meet Christine again and that she (Christine) didn't tell her family about Sheila. However, this isn't true, she wrote regularly and Christine's husband knew all about Sheila (although at that point, her children didn't). They were in the first stages of contact but it went well and they were looking forward to getting to know each other. We know they were in regular contact because Peter Jay (her uncle) identified many letters to and from Christine. It was just the start of the relationship - not the end.

I guess we also need to take into account that (for arguments sake), this wouldn't have been just a suicide, it would have been 4 murders also - all committed by a woman who complained that she couldn't function on her current dose of medication.

So Sheila should have been in a place where she was ecstatic? Didn't Colin say he'd not seen her like it since the day she gave birth to the twins, and wasn't there something about them all happily playing with the twins on the floor? Only so recently out of hospital, she was clearly feeling well and life must have been looking good.

For someone with such low self esteem as Sheila, perhaps she found it hard to have faith in that Christine, once she left, wanted to continue their relationship? She must have gone downhill very quickly -suddenly?- to have arrived at the place she appeared to be by late July, her last fortnight of life, barely able to attend to her personal hygiene, let alone summon the energy to commit murder.

Having had experience of a relative on Haloperidol - I believe her condition was down to the effects of the drug. It's what she complained about and her condition (lack of enegry etc.) is exactly what I also observed in my relative.

I don’t disagree with you that Sheila was indeed quiet, listless, sapped of energy and yes, appeared depressed, but I suspect it was her medication that was draining her of all energy and zest, and that was why she was so tired, weary and down. Yes, that would make anyone feel depressed, and she probably did feel very low, but she wasn’t depressed to the extent where couldn’t get out of bed, wash herself, apply make-up, have her nails manicured, have a new hairstyle etc...

There was nothing she did that day that was out the normal for her given the effects of her medication, and nothing to suggest she was suicidal.

Going by her character, which everyone said was pleasant & sweet-natured, and that she was devoted to her twins, if she had harboured suicidal thoughts — that rules out her going berserk and wanting to kill the very people she adored. She’d have taken her life alone at Maida Vale.

I agree that Sheila’s medication was totally unsuitable for her, and it completely floored her, hence why she was so weak, listless, down, and so tired

That would make anyone feel depressed even if they weren’t suffering from clinical depression

But what this all proves, too, is that Sheila was mentally — and physically — incapable of overpowering Nevill and beating him to a pulp when she could barely put one foot in front of the other due to the medication. She’d effectively been turned into a weak, trembling zombie.

She was completely burnt out, and you can guarantee when she went to bed that night she probably almost collapsed into a very deep sleep.

In Bamber’s Nov 2013 blog headed, ‘28th Anniversary of being Wrongly Convicted’

There’s a link to what’s been referred to as, ‘Lords this week on theWhole Life Sentence’

In Column 1489 of the publication, ironically it states,

“No one has the right to own a gun—it is a privilege—and those who do so have a duty to behave responsibly,
