Many have tried!!! As we're unlikely ever to know, it's entirely possible that someone has got it right. You're welcome to add your own thoughts. You stand as good a chance, as anyone, of being right.
No idea. Apart from that he obviously had to tackle the only probable threat first. Do we know the order they were shot in?

Can anyone be arsed walking an ignorant newbie through the definitive steps of the actual act?
Or is there a timeline, step by step, that someone could equally be arsed or not arsed to point me to?
I'm curious as to how he managed 5 people in different rooms and on different floors.

Had the crime have taken place in the US a shooting reconstruction would have taken place based on the physical evidence: blood stains, casings, distance of shots, trajectories of gunshot wounds, wound tracks.

In this case no such reconstruction has taken place to date but its all to play for as all the hard data exists.

It's an important aspect of the case as no expert evidence exists as to who was shot where.  My interpretation of the physical evidence is that NB was shot on the landing stairs as he approached the master bedroom with the perp firing out onto the landing from the master bedroom.  This is important as it lends support to JB's claim of a tel call from his father ie NB was coming up the stairs from the kitchen where the tel was found off the cradle.

The prosecution case is that JB entered the master bedroom and opened fire on his parents.  The defence put up no counter argument despite the fact there isn't a shred of physical evidence NB was shot in the master bedroom.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

So are we assuming that bodies were moved post mortem by the perp? How do you not rouse two 6 year olds in the midst of a mass shooting? The silencer was used, then taken off and sat on a shelf? Some suppressors / silencers are prone to overheating - is this a factor?

Haha...mystery evidence...

If I had concrete evidence that categorically proves someone was innocent, zi wouldn’t keep it a mystery

I’d release it so they could be free

It’s all BS

Mmm. I can recall saying exactly that when, in 2011, within a couple of weeks of joining a forum -as a supporter- I was told that "evidence existed", indeed, was in the hands of the post's author, an alleged "good friend" to Jeremy, having once shared a room, which would categorically set Jeremy free!!! After about a month of this carrot being dangled, I asked why this information wasn't being delivered to somewhere it could make a difference. I was told the time wasn't right!!! This important 'evidence' has subsequently vanished.

Only speculated. But you're right. The obvious thing would be to take the greatest threat out first.

What is known, General, is that Jeremy went into three bedrooms on the top floor where all his victims were sleeping.

June and Nevill were asleep in the master bedroom; the twin’ were asleep in another room in two single beds next to each other; and Sheila was asleep in the bedroom opposite her parents’.

Jeremy used a silencer on the rifle so as to make as little noise as possible, but didn’t plan on awakening June and Nevill.

He’d already disabled the phone line so no emergency calls could be made out, and at some time he removed the master bedroom  telephone, took it into the kitchen; hid the usual kitchen phone amongst a pile of magazines; and after dialling his own landline number ended the call and left the receiver off the hook.

The most logical guess is that he tried to take out his most powerful target first: Nevill

But he didn’t bank on Nevill putting up a fight. A fight and struggle took place in the master bedroom and on the landing, in which it seems June went to Nevill’s aid whereupon Jeremy beat her after already shooting her as she sat up in bed, and then shot her between her eyes instantly killing her by the door. Just prior to that he shot Nevill four times in the face and one shoulder, resulting in Nevill being unable to talk as the bullet ripped his jaw apart, including his tongue and larynx. However, Nevill managed to get downstairs, obviously in an attempt to arm himself and phone 999.

Jeremy then reloaded after beating Nevill so severely in the kitchen that a large chunk of wood from the rifle split off. Jeremy smashed Nevill’s head and face in, and even kicked and beat him after he was dead. He used immense force as Nevill was extremely strong and fit; 6’4”; and used to heavy farm work, so although he was 61 he had the strength of someone much younger, not forgetting his strong, big build.

After Jeremy killed Nevill, he went back upstairs and possibly found Sheila in the master bedroom after she’d been woken by the noise.  June was already dead on the floor, so whether Sheila tried to hide/escape is anyone’s guess, but she was found laying on the floor by the far side of the bed with two gunshots to her neck — both of which she couldn’t have executed herself. The first shot rendered her partially paralysed as it had fractured the bones in her spine. The amount of blood that pumped into her neck suggests that Jeremy went and got one more bullet as the first one hadn’t killed her instantly as he’d hoped. He had no choice but to shoot her a second time, which  raised further suspicion.

Whether or not he shot the twins first out of them all, or prior to killing Sheila, isn’t known. But my guess is he shot them dead first, then after his killing spree went back into their room to fire more bullets into their heads and face to try and make it look like a crazed killing rather than a cold-blooded execution.

Thanks pal.
Why do you suppose he didn't immediately shoot Nevil in the temple point blank? Unless he woke as Jeremy entered? But surely at this point the kids and Sheila would be awake and in a state of panic. The scene would be out of control within seconds.
The best way to control them would be to use the silencer to kill Nevil and June, then shoot Sheila, surely?

Either way, what a heinous, terrible, cowardly act. How he hasn't been shivved in jail is probably more to do with lack of opportunity than anything else, probably on 'protected' status. I know it was attempted before and I also know that if he ever pops his head out long enough he'll be dispatched. So there's that to look forward to.

Unless he's coronated first.

He was stabbed in the neck whilst on the phone around 2004, for which he received 28 stitches.
It's one of them cases, in'it... one of them f*ckin' cases.

Doing such would have ruled out someone who was shooting wildly. Like Les Dawson, a competent pianist who frequently played badly, Jeremy, gun competent, had to make the shots look as if they were made by someone incompetent.

Mmm. There are probably less wanting to dispatch him on the inside, than there are, outside.

OK, Gotchya. Makes sense.
Was he that calculating? And surely there was every chance he would have been overpowered by the hulking Nevil. I know now that he was a decent marksman, but with a .22 rifle in close proximity to a moving target in a confined area, it's not the ideal weapon if it goes noisy. He'd know that he had to take the limitations of the weapon in to account.
I dunno. I can't picture it to be honest; the sequence doesn't make any sense. He's done it, of that there's no question for me, but is there a chance there was an accomplice?

Yes, you're right. But there's an unwritten code in the jug that basically states that lifers have a duty to try to kill people like him if the opportunity arises. That's over-egging it somewhat, but that's the gist.

I wonder if he used an accomplice, too. It would explain quite a few things for me.

I, too, have wondered that. I can see that he had a strong motive to kill his family, but was he too much of a "wimp" to do it himself? I did read that he didn't like shooting game, so could he have shot his own family? I've often wondered whether he planned everything and got someone else to carry out the killings. Would explain why he thinks he's innocent-----although, in that scenario, of course he wouldn't be.
