No, out of kilter from the plan. If he was trying to not look callous and psychopathic then surely he lets the dog get adopted or sent to rescue or something.

I don't think Jeremy would have realised it was spiteful to others - in order to know what, he would have to know what empathy was and he doesn't.

Yeh, I get it; the psychopathy traits, but irrespective of the empathy angle, surely he'd know what appearing callous looks like, given his manipulative mind (i.e. apparently thinking ahead, checking the deeds, starting to take an interest in farming).

That was all pre-murders - he thought he'd gotten away with it. Until fairly recently before the words from the vets statement were obtained (can't reveal my source :)), most people thought he had tried to re-home Crispy - so clearly, that is what he told people.

I think he made clear his intentions with Crispy when the police handed him over and he said something like "I don't want that fcuking thing".

If that's not enough evidence then refer back to last w/e of Jul when the Pargeter's stayed at WHF he said Crispy needed shooting!  (CAL).

Why would anyone expect him to take in a dog he clearly disliked?

Conversely we are told when the police broke the news he vomited by thinking about his beloved Brambles.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Lol DS Jones even puts to JB he loved Brambles!

In the US with a shooting incident they look at the ballistics evidence.  In the UK we look at the accused's attitude towards the family pets!

You have missed the point - he specifically asked for the dog to be put down, for a home not to be found for it - that's the callousness of it not that he himself didn't want to keep it.

But you seem to think it’s quite reasonable that one of the very first things he does after the massacre of his family is to call the vet to add to the family’s death toll, by killing the one thing he could be most certain his mother loved.  You’re beginning to worry me Holly.

He probably didn't want to run the risk of it turning on any new owner like the Bichon Frise did with your father-in-law. He knew its temperament.

What was he expected to do with a dog he disliked and didn't want?   He did the decent thing and had him put down.

Anyone who puts down an animal because they don’t like it or don’t want it is quite immoral in my opinion, anyone who puts down an animal belonging to their own mother who was murdered 24 hours earlier because they don’t like it and don’t want it is beyond the pale imo.  There are numerous alternative solutions than killing an unwanted pet.  Kennels, the RSPCA, friends, neighbours, family members.  Could he really not have endured the inconvenience for more than a few hours?  Can this man literally do no wrong in your eyes?  Are you seriously asking me to accept that his actions were decent?

It hadn't turned on anyone - it's not the dogs temperament that was dangerous, it was Bambers and the callousness of the way he had his mothers much loved dog destroyed is testiment to it.

I have already answered this but you keep ignoring it. The vet offered to have him rehomed but Bamber told his to just kill him - what was he supposed to do? Allow the vet to at least try and rehome him.

Interestingly, the vet said that he knew nothing of Bamber or his family prior to his request to have Crispy put to sleep which means he must have used a different vet to the usual one!
